"So you got me down here, hand on my arm. I can try to turn away and tuck it in to avoid the arm bar. If you hold tight and let that turn pull you in, you can slip your leg under my head rather than over my chest and hook your knee around my neck. The other leg will squeeze under the arm and hook your feet together. Then you grab your own ankle and pull it tight as close to yourself as you can. Mixed with the strength of your legs you'll force my arm against my own artery and cut off circulation to my brain. Few seconds in that with enough pressure and your opponent will be out like a light."

Yoko listened carefully, nodded, then gave it a try; Soon a pair of tights clad legs were around John's head. She had the basic idea down, though it was clear she needed some work on the details and how to get there more naturally and quickly.

"Seems more difficult than the arm twist itself, Butcher, if I'm honest."

[John Slaktare]

"It is, a little bit, but it uses leverage better and does more to immobilize your opponent. Plus, it's a go to for if they try to turn away," he replies.

"It can also be done from the front if the opponent tries to take control and move to a dominant position. So it's a bit more flexible."

He guides her through doing it the other way so that she traps his neck from his front when he moves in an aggressive way rather than defensive.

[Yoko Lee]

She tries it a few more times before they take a break. She offers to help Butcher up as she lokks over at Richard, "You know though, this certainly won't help that girlfriend of yours thinking you're teaching me lewd things, Mister Slaktare..."

A chuckle before she realizes something, "Huh... just thought about it, but wouldn't veing able to detach one's arm be really useful against that technique there?"

[John Slaktare]

"I think she'd encourage me doin somethin like that. But, she'd prolly also be surprised if I did," he says, taking the hand up. His tone was neutral. "I don't like that kind of stuff in safe spaces. And the gym's a safe space for me."

"Also, if I got someone's prosthetic in an arm bar and they detach it, they're down an arm and I'm up a metal club I can smash over their head."

[Richard Winter]

"Speaking of wich" Richard says standing up and holding the arm in his left hand.
"Can any of you push this thing in? I can take it off by myself, but putting it on is difficult.

[John Slaktare]

Butcher nods and moves to assist. He puts the arm in place with a bit of guidance from richard and double checks to make sure it's on right. "There we go."

[Richard Winter]

With a loud clack, the arm went into the anchorage in his shoulder, and Richard drew in a sharp breath of air. "Thank you," he pressed out between his lips. He opened the mechanical hand and closed it again, moved the arm up and down, let the arm circle (which looked relatively unnatural, but was due to the mechanical joint) and moved it together with his left arm to see if the two reacted the same.

He nodded with satisfaction. "Seems to be ok for the time being".

John nods. "That's good. Hopefully it keeps it up," he says with a nod.

[Yoko Lee]

"I don't suppose there's a way to shield it from the storms or anything, is there? I don't know enough about such things myself, certainly."

[Richard Winter]

"A good prosthetic tech might be able to do that.... Ducky once offered to work on it, but I don't know if it can be improved at all," he shrugged, "I'll just have to live with it, there's a German saying: 'Besser Arm dran, als Arm ab' which means better to suffer than to have no arm."

He briefly warmed up a bit and asked "So shall I play Yoko's victim so you can watch as a mentor John?"

He looks to Yoko to see if that's ok with her. He knew she was probably at least becoming more comfortable with himself, but didn't want to assume she'd be very comfortable with anyone else. "You up for that?"

[Yoko Lee]

A chuckle, followed by a nod. "Of course, of course. And you already gave me a warning to not try any funny business, didn't you Mister Winters?"

[John Slaktare]

"No funny business? Are you a comedian then?" John asks. Perhaps a lame, deadpan attempt at a joke? If so, not a very hard try.

[Richard Winter]

He stuck his tongue out, "I'm having enough fun as it is, Miss Lee." He laughed and nodded to Johns joke, "We Lyrans take humor very seriously, it's no laughing matter," he replied.

[Yoko Lee]

She glanced at Butch, "He told me not to get to fresh with him since he's madly in love with Yori. As if I would ever tease him."

Yoko walked over to Richard, "Anyways, am I just practicing on you? I certainly wouldn't mind, would give me a better idea of the holds if I were to try it on someone else."

[John Slaktare]

"Well, probably best not to get too fresh when trying to twist someone's arm or choke them out. Might give them the wrong idea," he replies. "Whenever you two are ready."

John is ready to observe, guide and assist.

[Richard Winter]

He laughed, "I guess someone just can't stop teasing me," and got ready. He got into fighting stance and looked at John and Yoko "I'm ready."

[Yoko Lee]

"It's in my nature, what can I say?"

Yoko wasn't sure about stances... all she'd really learned, both from John and from the book, was holds and points to grab so far. Though she knew enough from kung fu films that people typically had "stances", just like in wrestling. For a moment, she wished she had a top rope to jump off of like Yakamoto Rose, but she shook that thought away and walked up to Richard. She paused for a moment when she realized she'd been practicing on only one of Butch's arms, and it just so happened to be the one on Richard that was his prosthetic.

This stopped her in her tracks and she looked at Richard quizzically as she tried to mirror the procedure in her head.

"So, you'll switch the legs around, but your hands'll do the same as the other side," he says as she eyes the other arm.
