Can the customization of the mech be for someone else rather than for the warrior trying to persuade?

Is rolling damage with a gun made by Weapon Modifier + Strength? or what trait is used for that?

I think it is bullet type + gun dmg modifier. Similar to L5R bows and arrows. Better wait for GM clarification though.

Gun is never strength (unless bashing someone over the head with it). Cat's understanding is correct. Weapon + bullet type. They tend to be highly lethal.

Weapon skill/dex to hit and then bullet/gun for damage. The damage might shift a bit depending on bullet type and opponent's armour. Some double reduction from armour for example.

Sorry if you are going to address this in another post but regarding the It's A Race defending forces for the Camp Kerkina location.
[Either cripple the mechs/VTOLs before they're manned or take out the infantry]
1)Does this mean that defeating the infantry will result in the mechs/VTOLs will be captured without damage?

2)Does is mean that allowing the mechs/VTOLs to be manned fails the mission or do those units become a part of the fight?

Yes. There will be a squad heading to each mech or VTOL - either some infantry guarding a mechwarrior or a VTOL crew. If they're taken out the mech or VTOL can be captured without damage.

Anything that is manned will become part of the fight after a turn to power up.

What mechs will our lances have D9? The same lineup we had Day 6 (sans anything out of commission), or will we already have the new Mechs we are getting?

I've put up an update here. There are additional mechs and I have mentioned to folks to claim these. Some have, including yourself:

Phoenix Hawk for Richard
Grand Dragon for Cat, trading down Treb, Hornet out
Griffin for Butcher's lance

Other mechs remain available, such as the Quickdraw, Cyclops, Hunchback, Panther, etc.

If folks claim them before combat on a basis of first come first served, and by whether you've claimed one yet or not, I'll update that link and ensure the updated forces are those used in combat.

It would probably make sense, yes, but no strict need unless you really want to. Assume a bit of the preceding and seceding time slots are used, but they can still be used for threads if you wish.
