Klaus extends his hand and pulls Tessa in, sweeping her into his arms. He begins a twirl, a hand sliding to her waist.

"I was beginning to wonder if you had forgotten me?" He teases. "One final rodeo cowgirl."

He pauses for a beat. "You know, I wasn't asking about a dance earlier. That isn't to say that I am not happy to have one with you"

Yoko nods to Tessa at her well wishes, lingering a moment before turning to the door and starting to make her way back to her quarters. Even if getting out proved to be harder than she would have liked...

Gianna half-laughs as she makes a clearly confused face at Yori. "Fune... Why funerals?" She pauses to consider her own question, and the fact that it's Yori, then smiles and takes another sip. "That, um... That's... innovative? I think that's innovative, Yori. Never heard of taking stuffed... Wait, you said confetti?" She looks back to Hrafna, slightly horrified at what she may have been encouraging Yori to do.

"It will lighten the mood, pigs are naturally humorous."
Completely monotone.
"Hrafnhildur has a very good sense of humour. I do not understand all of it, but she always make clear when I should laugh, often by laughing herself as way of a cue. It is very helpful."

Alex tasted the sweet drink and the hint of strong alcohol and chuckled. "As sweet as you are. Probably if we get to good relations with the locals we can try and get that cake... Or may be ask our cook to make it." Alex poked her nose. Bop!

"That'd be great!" The small lover of sweets agrees happily. "Let's go do both! We can't have too much cake."

She blinks when her nose is poked, giggles and gives Alex a return bop on the nose. "Boop!"

[Tessa Wentworth]

"Just don't toss me around too much." It wasn't an actual rodeo after all. Tessa places a hand on Klaus' side. She smiled softly as they hovered there.

"I don't follow, but you've got a dance so, what're you waiting for?" She asks with a chuckle.

[Klaus von Zinzer]

"Nothing then" Klaus dips Tessa and brings her up. He pauses, lightly pressing his lips to hers for a quick kiss."Happy new year. And let's hope for many more"

Klaus hopes to keep dancing, assuming she wants to.

[Tessa Wentworth]

The light kiss is returned as Tessa holds onto Klaus. She smiled brighter. "Happy new year."

Of course she keeps dancing. She was in good spirits.

Klaus smiles and twirls Tessa again before pulling her close, hand on her back, moving into more of a swing dance. A smile is plastered on his face.

The gravitational conditions made it easy and fun to swing one another around. Tessa was soon a bundle of giggles and enjoyment.

"So does the room swim whenever someone kisses you, or is that the zero-G?" Klaus jokes. "Either way, I'm glad that I've tried it"

[Mei-Ling Zhou]

"GI!" The cry came as Mei floated towards the group on a collision course with Gianna. "Oh my god Happy New Year!" The low speed crash ended in a hug and a kiss on Gianna's cheek.

"You look fucking amazing by the way. Happy New Year Yori, Happy New Year..Hrafn right? Sorry we haven't met yet properly I'm Mei, Scout company second lance. It's nice to meet you. Do you two mind if I borrow Gi for moment I REALLY need to talk to her before it's too late."

There was a sense of urgency to her words brought on by more than just booze.

"It will only take a moment, I promise to give her back."

Yori stares at Mei for a moment.
"Happy New Year, Sergeant Zhou."
More staring
"It is possible that is more more important than hugging, or pigs, or even ducks. I believe she may depart without causing undue damage to the conversation."

"Confetti and streamers, yes. I made the toy to celebrate the new year with. Pop! Streamers. Bang! Confetti. I wouldn't suggest it get used at a funeral however...I don't see such a thing as bein' confetti friendly." There were thoughts in Hrafna's head already about how to limit the use of the payload, to keep it out of sensitive events.

"Ah, Sarge Mei. I've heard the name, now I see the face. Good, good. That's me, Hrafnhildur, senior engineer. Perhaps I'll work on that mech of yours one day. No repairs if we're lucky, right? Just keepin' that thing maintained." She nodded at the question while her hand went to her back in an effort to zip her costume back up.

"Take the time you need, I...know that...important things...are important..." Her words were slowed by her attempt at reaching the zipper. Try as she might she couldn't quite reach the zipper any more. All she succeeded in was spinning in a circle with the effort.

[Gianna Rains]

Yori stares at Mei for a moment.
"Happy New Year, Sergeant Zhou."
More staring
"It is possible that is more more important than hugging, or pigs, or even ducks. I believe she may depart without causing undue damage to the conversation."

Gianna, surprised to end up with an armful of Mei when she'd been trying to sort out the funeral- appropriateness of a confetti pig, returns the hug without thinking. The kiss gives her a moment of pause, and when Mei compliments her and says she wants to talk, Gianna blushes lightly.

"You, um... Sure, I guess," she says, starting to think of ways to get a bit of spin away from the other women. Who are closer to the wall.

"Uh, Hrafna, Yori, you wanna give us a friendly push off?" Once delivered, she and Mei start drifting gently across the room, one of Gianna's hands still clutching the duck while the other keeps a tight grip on Mei's hand.

"I think...Two Leut Hakamada...that no confetti would be...dang it with this zipper." Even though Yori was keeping pace with her rotations, which helped on th conversation front, Hrafna still couldn't get to the zipper. It was as if the more she texted the more she turned, into infinity.

"Touch my body? To stop me from spinnin'. Sure, I could always use help with that. I'd appreciate the help with that touchin' your offerin'. I should suggest my shoulders or waist. Those are my bracin' points. My studs if you will, if you've ever built a house. Yup, I place anything up against those two points and I'm good all day, solid as one of those big ol'redwoods. As long as it's not too heavy. Matter of fact, if it's too heavy..." she dropped her voice to a whisper. "... I'm one of those house of cards.

Yori reaches out and clamps a hand onto Hrafna's shoulder before reaching out another to brace their momentum against the roof so the two were no longer spinning.

"One moment please."
She reaches her other hand over and gives Hrafna's zip a firm tug up which gets nowhere.
"The zipper appears to be blocked. I will request an additional moment."
Peering over the mechtech's shoulder she spots some offending confetti.
"I apologise, this is now a third moment."
Yori brushes the material out of the zip and then firmly yanks the zipper all the way up.
"Three moments, not my best work but I judged the risk of damage to your costume to be sufficient."

I believe I briefly viewed some undergarments, a small mole, various parts of your back, the rest of your costume, a small amount of your left calf, obscured, then the floor below us. It is reasonably similar to my own back so I was familiar with most of the involved elements."

"Aha! Welcome, I'm glad I wore my good undies for this occasion since you laid eyes on 'em. Bummer about that sock though, it'll turn up. I know it will. I hope it will. I hope I know it will. I know I hope I will." With that she gave Yori a nod. "Thank you for your help. And for agreeing with my stance on zippers and buttons."

A few thoughts went through her head and it showed on her face. "I see what a...yidiom...is now. Like when I say someone is goofier than a bag of hammers. No wait, that's not the saying. Nuttier than a bag of hammers? More...more...hmmm...well I get it." It was obvious her mind was still wrestling with the thought. "Aha! A wild goose chase! You and I can be on a wild goose chase for the sock. It's not a goose. But as someone who has been on an actual wild goose chase, I can say it's fun. We should do it one day, I think you'd enjoy it....maybe."
