It's a Race 1 (D9 EE Kerkina Combat)

The assault begins in full in the early evening. Your lance is one of the first to enter part of the Camp Kerkina grounds. You've located the outer mech training area and barracks dead ahead. You radio in the situation only to hear that an overhead drone has spotted infantry shielding pilots rushing toward the mechs. So much for surprise. Get in there and take out those mechs or, if possible, the pilots before they can mount them. More Angels are en route.
Objective: Either cripple the mechs before they're manned or take out the infantry. Other targets are secondary.
Note: Infantry squads are 7 soldiers strong. 1 of them will be a mechwarrior. The squad can be taken out in two ways:
1) Kill all 7 members
2) Successfully kick the squad to force them to surrender
If a squad reaches a mech it will come online the turn thereafter. Until then they are shutdown and stationary. Should 2 or more mechs be taken undamaged, Impact will increase by 0.1. Should all 4 be taken undamaged, Impact will increase by 0.2.

"We have reached the mission zone" Richard relayed over comms. "get ready."
He had a fairly neutral tone and seemed somewhat absent.
"Everything good kid?" asked Alpha.
"All good, let's do the mission and raise a glass afterwards, okay?"
",........... Affirmative"

Using a hill for a better view, the new Vulcan pilot calls out some useful information. The southern approach was guarded by a dual LRM turret and infantry. The north had a Partisan heavy tank, slow but dangerous with all those AC/5s, and the east had a single Vedette with a single AC/5. Much less a threat!
There were four mechs out in the grass with infantry leaving two barracks and heading that way. A short range Jenner and Wasp, both light mechs. An Original Vulcan, the 2T, with an eclectic mix of weapons, and a 6R Wolverine, which was a very sturdy medium mech. Most of the enemies, including it, had AC/5s.
"ULV here. Hitting the turret. What next?"
A sleek aerospace fighter was moving swiftly toward the location.

"Remember, the priority is to take out the infantry! All other targets are secondary for now. Alpha, Jester, Harpy move to the wall at maximum speed, we will try to jump over the wall and prevent the infantry from launching their mechs by any means. USV after the run on the turret I want you to focus on the partisan for now."

Vulcan, Javlin, Phoenix Hawk & Firestarter move towards wall at 1910 at max. distance through either running or jumping

The lance rushes ahead as the Rapier turns to target the LRM10 turret. It lands good hits with its weapons, stripping the armour from the heavy emplacement and knocking out one of the LRM10s! Richard and a lance mate add some firepower of their own, their lasers damaging the foundations further. The building couldn't take too many more hits!
The Vulcan takes some hits (4 damage CT), but it had armour to spare.
The infantry were moving toward the mechs. It wouldn't take them too long. Meanwhile, both tanks moved into the compound. The turret, although damaged, also comes online.

Richard looked at his updated Command Moudl and got the data from Usov's attack . "Good shot ULV, with the next run the GE gun should be down."
"Jester, Harpy Alpha, we're about to hit the wall! Get ready to give them hell!"
----
All Mechs: Move as close as possible to the wall, fire on the turret if possible.

Richard's lance all made it to the shade of the walls. They'd be inside them soon, using their jump jets. En route, the Firestarter takes more than a few LRM hits from the remaining turret launcher (5 damage RT, 5 damage LL). It had a little armour left in each location, but that had hurt.
Then there was a whoop over the comms as the Rapier pulled off a crazy mid-air turn. It was lowering altitude. "Next run, copy. Finishing the turret. Might want to keep clear - bombs away!"
An incredibly large series of explosions follow at the agile fighter opens its bomb doors at low altitude and plasters the southern base defences. One of the bombs even flew wide, shrapnel dinging off the arm of Richard's Phoenix Hawk as he came to an abrupt stop just a little too close for comfort (5 damage RA). The shut down Jenner took a little damage too, but everything else went on the SRM platoon and the turret. They were blown sky high.
The cluster bombs also spread out, wiping out two of the nearer squads of infantry. Explosions continued for some seconds as the Rapier shot past. Smug bastard.
To be one hundred percent sure, the Vulcan pilot fires a couple lasers into the smoking ruins of the turret emplacement. It collapses to the ground a moment later. There was nothing left!
Seeing the blossoms of cluster munition explosions, the Vedette backs away. Far, far away. The Partisan slows too. Only two remaining squads of infantry pressed forward toward the mechs.

"ULV you magnificent bastard!" Richard exclaimed joyfully when he saw the explosions. "Guys, we've got to step it up, we can't let ULV take all the glory. Show them what we've got!"
Richard's lance launched their jump jets and jumped over the wall of the camp to land directly in the courtyard.
"Jester, Harpy take out the Infantry at position 2409, Alpha take care of Infantry at 2308, I'll distract the Partisan!"
He send the coordinates over his command module and made himself ready to jump.
"Here we go!"
----
Vulcan jump to 2307 facing south, gunning down infantry 2308 with MG's & Flamers, kick the survivors
Fire Javlin jumping to 2408 facing south gunngin down infantry 2409 with ML, kicking the survivors
Phoenix Hawk jump to 2208 facing south east firing LL at Partisan + Kick
Firestater at 2210 firing Flamer and SL at Infantry 2409

Hopping the walls, Richard's lance immediately alter direction to land as close to the infantry as possible. Small arms patter off their mechs to little effect (1 damage to Vulcan LA, 2 damage to Firestarter LL). Richard's own mech take an AC/5 shell, but it holds steady (5 damage LT). It does throw off his aim with the large laser on the tank, the weapon charring some distant grass instead.
The attack is worthwhile however, as all three other mechs open fire upon the hapless footsloggers. As the smoke clears there isn't one left standing. It was overkill. Some were still alive, but they were rolling left and right on fire and screaming in agony... they'd not be alive much longer.
Having surrounded the Partisan, all but the Vulcan move in to hammer it with kicks. The combined assault knocks out its engine. The crew quickly shut down the vehicle, but none of them leave - one pops a hatch and waves a white vest around in the air. Clearly they didn't trust the flame spewing mechs not to roast them to death if they stepped out! (Vehicle immobilised as engine destroyed).
Only the Vedette remained a credible threat and it was just one small tank...
(Javelin 6 heat, Firestarter 1)
It speeds off toward the road. It was likely trying to flee.

"Cut them off" Richard gave the order before opening the open communications channel "Crew of the Vedette, this is Second Lieutenant Richard Winter of the Obsidian Angels. This is my first and last warning. Surrender and nothing will happen to you, keep trying to escape and it will be your death."

Firestarter to 2313facing vendette
Fire Javlin jump to 2213 facing vendette
Vulcan move to 2112 facing vendette
Pheonix hawk move to 2113 facing vendette

The Vedette responds by firing its main gun and machine guns all at Richard's Phoenix Hawk. Its inaccurate, wild fire. Panicked. Useless. Needless to say nothing actually hit.
All four mechs move to kick the tank into submission. Two, embarrassingly, miss. Neither falls over at least. The two hits that do connect quickly convince the crew to bring the tank to a stop. They turn it off and wait... hoping the offer was still good.
(All enemies eliminated! Congratulations!)
Impact increases by 0.2. The four mechs will be available from day 10 onwards.

"That it cannot be done right away like that" Richard communicated annoyed over open comms. "We accept your surrender. Lay down all weapons and leave the tank. Gather together with the other survivors."
He changed the channel again "Good job team, Great job ULV, I think I need to buy you a beer".
He then passed the info on to (probably mobile?) HQ. "HQ, this is Kid, mission successfully completed, four mechs, two tanks and some POW waiting for pickup."

"Sounds good. ULV, heading to new combat zone. Catch you back at base." The Rapier had circled around but now it heads off eastwards. Must be new orders.
The mobile HQ had indeed been brought into the area. Richard's signal was received and a Karnov was said to be on its way to pick up the prisoners. There was some audible appreciation for securing the mechs so completely. However, they and the tanks would have to wait. He'd need to keep the area secure for half an hour before being relieved by slower moving mechs from Command Company. Later that evening the lance is returned back to the dropsite so the mechs could be brought back to full readiness.
