It does appear our unit commander subscribes to the policy of 3 mech lances, with a light mech assigned to each lance as a forth mech to act as the lances scout/messenger

You mean the best mech in the galaxy?
Someone had to get stuck with it.

I mean, the lance that got the Urbie are fairly long ranged. They can hopefully place it behind a hill or building to intercept an enemy moving toward their LRM units.

Is there any reason to try and mulligan that Centurion in the hopes of a faster mech? It is a real solid mech. It just does not match the speed profile of the lance, being slower than the rest.
Having a fully jump capable lance would have been nice too, but that is not achievable here, with one mulligan.
What are your thoughts?

I’m no expert but that’s a really solid Centurion variant. I’d hate for you to mulligan and get something with half the BV when that also doesn’t fit well with the rest of the lance.

That is why I am so reluctant to mulligan it. I have decided to just take it. One somewhat slower mech is a nuisance, but not a huge problem. And we are still a ragtag mercenary group, so there has to be some give.
And our ferret GM has less work to do too that way. ^-^
I'm good with that. Thank you, everyone, for the input.

I think I will try to mulligan that Wasp though. It just does too little.
It currently fills no niche in my lance, since my lance is already a good enough laser show. XD

Just spotted this. It's more the CO subscribes to the policy of "I wish I had more/bigger/better mechs, but this is what I've got!" and all the mechs that can be used are assigned. :P
