Others would, in time, talk about Yori's lance and how it had defeated two lances in a couple of minutes. It was quite the achievement.

Yori limps about and searches for the pilot. She's spotted after two minutes: she's hanging from her parachute straps, the parachute being caught in a tree.

A position Yori was reasonably familiar with.

The battered Crusader slowly salutes before Yori and Co. set about freeing the dangling hero.

[GM Yuusha]

At this range she could hear the aerospace fighter pilot. "Hey, thanks! YOU FOUGHT WELL! Sorry I couldn't do more. Fucking hope brass don't fire me for crashing. Damn, huh? Barely ejected in time! Your lance mates all alright?"

[Yori Hakamada]

Yori's cockpit opens with the pained whine of servos.

"Your contributions were also invaluable, I have never seen an aerofighter return to the air so quickly after a crash landing, you are very skilled Ms Pullenza. We are, mostly, unharmed. Allow us to do you the honour of a rescue and if you wish, as much food and drink as you can handle. We were 58% more likely to have perished without your support."

Tsuge: "Yeah, you uh totally kicked ass."

[GM Yuusha]

"You say that, but I probably should have pulled off after that rather than return to the fight. I just didn't want to leave you without support. Glad you're all okay." She manages a sort of wave from where she was suspended. "I won't say no to a meal and drinks. Doubly so if they fire me for this."

[Yori Hakamada]

"If you get fired we will hire you...probably. I apologise for the loss of your craft, we have something of an outstanding issue with the Draconis Combine."

If they can, the group will try to get the pilot down and offer her a rumble seat and a ride back to base.

Getting her down safely is the bigger challenge. Once she is free it's easy enough for her to climb a ladder to get in a mech with an open cockpit.

It was good timing. Allies were arriving. Late as usual.

[Yori Hakamada]

Yori's lance radiates a certain 'you're late' energy as it acknowledges the arriving allies and directs them to the salvage.

Yori, neutrally: "We are returning to base. We're also escorting an allied pilot if her forces inquire as to her whereabouts."

[GM Yuusha]

"Copy that. The route back is reported clear of enemies, but do you need an escort?" Clearly HQ had heard how banged up the lance was.

[Yori Hakamada]

"Only if you have the forces to spare, our mechs are all still mostly operational."
A piece of armour plating falls off the Crusader.

Not privy to the decaying state of the Crusader, the person on comms is still helpful enough to organise a modest escort. Two members of Command Company were withdrawing after expending the majority of their ammunition. They were being asked to stop and wait for Yori's lance to link up with them.

Yori and Co do so, taking it fairly easy so as not to strain any of the battered mechs.
