Day 6 (March 26th)

Day 6
Taco Tuesdays! It is March 26th, 3050. Much of the snow across the countryside and in town is now nothing more than puddles. There are actually some small ponds at the bottom of valleys and in low points among the plains as the water pools, the ground too wet to readily absorb more. The day itself is a little warmer still than yesterday. There's not much time to appreciate that for the Angels however, as two full scale assault operations commence targeting Budai, a weapons development site, and the southern Akos Militia barracks. The attack on Budai comes first. Multiple battles are fought over Budai culminating in a struggle within the inner compound. Later in the afternoon and evening, much of Command Company attack the barracks with support from other companies, artillery and aerospace fighter strafing runs. The expenditure of ammunition is immense, but it gets the job done. Unfortunately, the seizure of the barracks isn't without cost. Practically all the Angels frontline personnel are weary by nightfall yet many are kept on alert due to the possibility of a counter attack.
