Day 3
It is Saturday, March 23rd, 3050. The weather is clear today and the clouds are becoming sparser. It's a few degrees warmer too and snow starts to melt slightly in the afternoon sun. With Szekeres, a Communications Relay Outpost, chosen as the first target, the start of the day sees efforts to quickly and quietly neutralise patrols around the outpost. By the afternoon it is fully under attack. The early evening sees a futile attempt at retaking the site by numerous hover tanks. In summary, battles occur throughout the day. While many support staff remain on standby ready to assist with the first assault of the deployment, such as reloading ammunition or transporting troops to secure the interior buildings, others can only wait for news. However, for the mechwarriors among the Angels, it's sure to be a busy day.

"I do. She was only in there two minutes and I saw her leaving with a box."

"He was selling her his card collection. I asked her afterwards."
"Wait, hold up, why were you outside his room?"

"Some snowmen popped up overnight around the base. Weird."
"Probably Annalena. She's been enjoying the snow."
"No way, I was on the evening patrol and the morning patrol the next day. They appeared during her bed time. You know the CO is strict about that."

"Did you clock the latest development?"
"You must mean that new sergeant and the Butcher."
"You bet. They're getting along preeeeetty well."
"I'm happy for them. Maybe Butcher will become more approachable?"
"I hope so. He's stepping up as Gunnery Sergeant!"

"What do you mean?"
"All those promotions! Someone even made officer - sergeant to 2nd lieutenant!"
"Not bad. I had to clean up after one of the officers."
"Something happen?"
"Yeah. Big time. Worse even than the scout sergeant that apparently fell over twice."
"That's hard to believe."
"You're telling me. She did at least stick around the rest of the afternoon to tidy up some of her mess. What's really hard to believe is that her little sis is green, in the same lance and she didn't damage anything."
"... Are you into her or something?"
"M-Maybe! She's got these pretty blue eyes and her callsign is Princess."

"We nearly got ordered to attack a weapons testing site if the Chief Mechtech is right. He's been ranting about it. Says we passed up gauss lostech and that-"
"I've heard. He said young mechwarriors these days have got no balls."
"No, he said only the women in Raider Company have em. He really speaks his mind."

"That Charlie, I tell you, he can fix anything."
"Is this about the Assassin again?"
"Yeah! We really screwed up on it, but he swooped in with his assistant and it was done. In one evening. Miracle maker!"
"He did have some help from one of the mechwarriors."
"Alex. Yeah. He did good on the armour."
"Not on the Panther though. Mechtech Hrafna repaired some of the damage, but we still need to align the gyro. Would have if some of the mechs weren't damaged during the scouting today."

"Yeah that's SGT. Zhou, she's been playing drums using a bunch of buckets and crap."
"Ohh, kind of weird but it did sound pretty good."
"Oh you should get closer and listen, she's really talented. It's a shame there isn't enough room for her to have a real drum set. When we finish this contract the Major should really find a space for all the musicians we have, a concert would be great."
