The natural athlete spins around, tucks her legs in, adjusts her angle and kicks off to follow after her captain. She collides right into Lakshmi, when her target is suddenly stopped. Holding on and peeking out from behind Kaala, Catherine gives Ezmeralda a quick wave.

"Ah! Oh, hey Laks. How are things Cat? Christmasy I'm guessing?" She asked with a smirk.

"Hey." She waved to Ez and co.

"Let's teach Cat how to play blackjack." Laks states her mission objective.

"Oh, sure. No-," she paused and looked at Cat, "You don't know how to play Blackjack? This company has a legacy banner with a poker hand on it. Okay, we can fix this!" She grinned at Lakshmi.

"Hey." The small redhead returns Ezmeralda's greeting with a little shrug. "It's a good costume and I like it. Make It and Goo helped me make it zero Gee proof." She gives her top a small tug to show that it is being held in place somehow. By then the conversation has shifted towards blackjack.

"Uh ... that's this cardgame, where you have to count to 21 or something, right?" Lifting her pink bottle up, to take a small sip, Catherine gives them both a shrug and a little smile. "I'm not fully clear on the rules, but I am sure I can play it."

Tanaki has found a spot a the table, he slides behind the face plate of his suit.

"Yes. There's a bit more than that. Let's see..."

Laks would give Catherine a run-down of the rules. Right after she, Ez and Tanaki were all given a pouch of tokens. Their initial gambling 'funds'. Ez's lance would be next.

The bunny settled into a seat. "That is the short of it. Aces are 1 or 11, your choice. An ace and a black jack pays out one and a half times."

Sipping from her pink bottle, the small redhead listens to Lakshmi and nods. Once received, she securely tucks her pouch of tokens into her Santa style dress.

"I think I'm ready to spectacularly lose my tokens now." She gives a playful shrug. "It's nothing to do with mechs. It's not a sporty event. And it's not a shooty one either. So I'm bound to suck at it."

"blackjack huh? and here I was thinking something to take advantage of the environment like zero g roulette or such, still this should be fun" He smiles at those at the table.

"Zero-G roulette? How'd that even work?" She asks semi curiously. "Can't imagine it. Zero-G dart however could be fun." She shoots back with a little grin.

"Zero-G swimming is the best." Laks states fondly, taking a seat.

The first round of cards would go very much in Ez's favour as she immediately hit twenty with two face cards.

"I'd be down with that, Laks!" Cat immediately agrees with the idea of weightless swimming.

"Zero-G, drinking and cards mix better in my experience," Ezmeralda pointed out as she took the hand, "And you are always a little swimming in zero-g."

"True that. So, you're enjoying the party so far then Ez?"

Lakshmi gestured to the dealer for another card as the next round started.

"Lucky bunny."

She sipped from a cup. "I'd rather have done it planetside but that is not an option so... This is fun," she tapped her card, "I am curious what this win as many tokens as possible in half an hour thing is about though."

"No clue either." Catherine shrugs, but immediately throws out a guess anyway. "More fun lottery?"

Laks points to one of the signs she and Cat had floated past to get there. Not that anyone could read it from the table.

"There's a fully paid for pampering day for two abroad the jumpship, with 1000 C-Bills as spending money in the shops there. Oh, and a bottle of champagne. There are a few smaller prizes for second and third place too." She tried to remember what they were. "One of them was a selection of scented body soaps."

She regarded Tanaki and then both women.

"If any of you win you're taking me, right?"

"I'd take that." Catherine states with brief smile. "Not that I am lucky enough to have a chance. That's your job Laks."

"I might get a mutiny in my lance if I do that. On the other hand then I'd have to pick between Fox and Sierra. Hmmm, I'll let you in on the contest for it? How's that?"

The purple and black bunny leveled looks at their leader. "We can hear you you know," they said in unison.

(Going to wait for Tanaki)

Cat would be in for some beginner's luck as she hit a smooth 21 with an ace and a black jack.

"You sure about that Cat?"

"Your loss. I'd be a blast."

"Huh!" Cat is quite confused about her unexpected bout of luck, but quickly grins and gives a small cheer. "Woohoo~ shovel-face guy and the big heart!" While she does actually know her cards (what mercenary brat wouldn't?) Cat likes to sometimes use the names she chose for them nearly a decade ago.

Overhearing the conversation with Ezmeralda, she leans in to interject. "Can confirm. Laks is a blast."
