Fancy dress & count down (Pregame 1 EN Storage)

Catherine seems to be mostly unhampered by her state of mild intoxication and a natural athlete to boot. Being spun around makes her giggle and let out a little whoop of joy. It is a familiar sound coming from the small tomboy, but it had been missing for nearly a year now. She is having fun again and showing it.

And while much calmer during them, Hellcat is enjoying the slower parts of the dance as well.

"Aha! I have just the lights you know. Blue ones and red ones and green ones and...wait. Not all together then you'd look like one of those Christmas trees. Let's keep it to one color. I hear the color red makes things go faster, maybe we stick to red. Then a couple of speed holes in arms and that robot helmet and you'll be all over the place."

Her hand went back to her hair as Yori's almost reached out. She gave said hair a quick shake to dislodge the offending asymmetrical streamers. She didn't want to blue screen after all. "The team came.with the costume. I think maybe there is a team called the Llamas somewhere out there. I think I'd like to see them play once. Oh! Maybe I could get in for free if I wear this."

"I am continuing to learn new facets of engineering. It sounds as though painting myself bright red might have some advantages. Perhaps I dyed my hair the wrong colour."

She sighs quietly as the hair is righted.
"Statistically given the number of inhabited worlds and the number of sports teams there may be many teams called the llamas. They may let you in, but have you undertaken the requisite training? Cheerleading is more dangerous than many sports and given your high intellect sustaining a head injury would be a loss."

Alex seeing that happiness made the heart of the Penguin melt. Alex pulled her into a hug again. "I like this Cat... Even if it's the drink. Don't forget it!" Alex whispered with a tear falling from the eye.

A slightly grumpy looking Gianna, Santa hat pulled a little extra forward trying to hide her face, floats up drink in hand.

"Yori's right, and more complimentary than usual," the Canopian says, clearly more candid at this level of intoxication than usual. "Wish I had someone saying nice things about me," she grumbles.

"Don't worry, I won't" The redhead replies and gives her friend a gentle squeeze in return, topped with a smile. "The drink just tasted sweet like strawberries. I like this too, Alex. I hope we all have a good year now. I look forward to it."

There is a long and uncomfortable pause.
"I believe you are mostly competent. I appreciate that you maintain good personal hygiene."
Much longer pause.
"Physically you are attractive?"

Yoko's eyes followed Klaus a moment as he went off to the bar, along with spying some of the other stuff going on over there, then turned back to Tessa with a smile.

"If nothing else, it's certainly lively in here. Maybe I should have grabbed another of those small wine coolers myself to really ring in the new year. Still, happy new year to you as well, Miss Wentworth."

She did a small cheers with the woman with an invisible glass before turning the hand over so her gloved palm was up, "For now though... I can't say I've been dancing in zero gravity, but I'm willing to give it my best shot."

"I, um... Gosh," she says, looking down toward her drink and subconsciously fanning herself with her other hand.

"That's... That's super sweet Hrafna, Yori, I... I mean, you didn't have to, but it really..." She looks at them with a well of enthusiasm. "That means a lot coming from you guys!" She seems to reach toward them for a hug, though the mechanics of achieving that in zero G with a bit of alcohol coursing through her lean body make it... challenging.

Floating through the hanger the Giant of the Angels was very relaxed and loose his fancy dress more opened with the shirt unbuttoned a bit and the jacket open as he sipped the wine and just moved through the space blissfully with a slight blush on his cheeks.

It had been a pretty good night.

"That's all we ask." Tessa states with cheer after draining her wine. She flicks the cup off in the direction of one of the strung up garbage bags. "Let's go." She offers her hand to Yoko, preparing to propel them both toward where everyone was dancing. Or trying to.

Yoko took the hand gently, "Have you danced in space like this before then?"

She looked at Tessa's feet and prepared to help and make sure she wasn't getting tangled up with the kickoff.

"Only a few times." She admits, not trying to brag.

The propulsion from both of them was enough to easily reach the central area. They'd continued drifting past it toward the ceiling, but that was a while away. With some mirth she lifts Yoko's hand and twirls her around effortlessly.

"Naturally black...I just...I had no idea..." Hrafna was having way more of a tough time with this whole hair thing than any person should. Part of her still didn't believe it though. After all what was next, her finding out that Gianna also dyed her hair. Who knew if poor Hrafna could take two such revelations in a short time like that.

"I don't have to do many things but I like doin' them Geee-yanna. Like back when I was a girl and I scratched my dad's tractor with a screwdriver. Sure I didn't have to do it, and accordin' to him I shouldn't have, but...oh wait. I really shouldn't have done that. Okay, bad example but you get what I'm sayin'." One could only hope people knew what little Hrafnhildur was saying.

"And sweet is my middle name. Well, actually I don't have a middle name but if I did it could be sweet." And with that if people didn't know Hrafna was a hugger, they would probably know when she angled herself to complete the hug that Gianna had started. With the help of the wall of course.

Yori floats somewhat awkwardly as she gets smushed between the enthusiastic huggers and the wall
"I apologise about the hair Hrafnhildur, had I known I might have attempted an elaborate deception. I could have said it was naturally pink and you could have said your middle name was sweet. I might have been suspicious given the etymology is suspect, but I would have certainly accepted it for a few moments."

The propulsion from both of them was enough to easily reach the central area. They'd continued drifting past it toward the ceiling, but that was a while away. With some mirth she lifts Yoko's hand and twirls her around effortlessly.

Following the lead Yoko twirls and dances as the two of them float across the room. It wasn't exactly helping her motion sickness... but surprisingly, it wasn't making it worse either. Having someone as an anchor to the movements made a world of difference; Each spin and bob had a handhold to come back to and someone close to orient herself to.

Also surprisingly, her training in dance helped her as well, and she went along with the style Tessa lead with in a natural manner. There were some differences from the zero gravity, but those were as much freedoms as limitations.

Gianna, having gotten more compliments than she could have guessed, plus a group hug, feels perhaps the best that she has all night. A broad grin on her face as she squeezes the other women, she's almost entirely oblivious to what they're talking about. Hair, being sweet...

"You guys, this is just the best!" As the Canopian holds on longer than is socially acceptable in most settings, it may seem that she's hiding out in this hug.

The blonde was alternating between ballroom moves and club dancing, just having fun. She wasn't trying to match the style of the music. More to hit some of the beats and have a giggle. She either kept one hand on Yoko or ensured Yoko had a hand on her so they could both stay close and move one another around.

Tessa was giggling even more as she held onto Yoko's waist and boogied, pumping her shoulders and tossing her head from side to side.

The Penguin smiled. "Let me have a taste." Alex chuckled lightly. "Maybe when we get to a town we can get strawberry short cake. Would you like that?" Giving her another turn.

"Sure!" The small Sergeant grins and offers Alex some. The prospect of tasty cake makes her smile brightly. "I'd love that. Strawberries taste so good." Catherine giggles, when she is sent into another spin. "Dunno how shoon we get to visit any towns though."
