"You have good eyes. That's a quirk with these guns, must be making the best of it" he said and scirbbled into his notepad again.

Yori stands in unblinking silence for a few long moments, staring at Richard as he works. Until finally:

"May I ask you a question of a personal nature?"

"Sure thing, go ahead."

Cocking her head a little too far to the side
"Why did you decide to become a mercenary? It is a dangerous profession. If you do not feel the need to inflict violence are you seeking excitement or recognition? Or is it simply a paying job?"

"Well,..." Richard rubbed the back of his head.
""The problem is that I have a dream. I grew up on Hesperus II and they build mechs there. Ever since I was a kid I wanted to have my own mech and now I'm working towards that goal. The profession as a mercenary is the one with which I can get the money I need."

"Well, that would've been the shortest route. However, that would also create the biggest rat tail and I don't really feel like being hunted by people. It would be quite exhausting to always know someone in the back of your mind who wants to get at you."

Yori shrugs neutrally
"You get used to it after a while, but I believe I understand your sentiment. I assume you have selected a suitable future mech to purchase?"

He tilted his head a bit after Yori's remark about getting used to pursuers.
"Preferably a Marauder, even though i know that it's a pretty though goal" he said confidently. "But it is an excellent mech, though rare."

“It is a classic design. I never enjoyed being shot at by Marauders from House Davion. I am sure if you are not killed you can work up to that.

Can I ask what you like about it? Is it aesthetics or function?”

"The sheer destructive power the mech has, combined with its heavy armor, is great. While not particularly fast, it is still mobile enough to strategically reposition itself." He sighed

"In addition, he also has style and can teach the enemy the fear by his pure presence" he gushed. ""If only he wasn't so expensive"

"Both form and function, that is an understandable preference. You are correct that the mech is particularly expensive."

Yori considers the question, unblinking for a few moments.

"I admire the form of the Hatamoto-Chi. It speaks to me. But given their price and relative age I would only put my odds at securing one in the single digits."

"The what?" he asked confused. "I haven't heard of that Mech before"

"Doubtless because it is a Combine produced mech. If you are aware of the 'Charger' and the 'Thug' mechs this is a meld of the two."

Yori extracts her commpad and, maintaining direct eye contact with Richard, keys in a few commands before rotating the device to show the mech in question.

Richard took a closer look at the mech, joyfully exclaiming, "He sure looks like a samurai!"

"I do!" he said excited "But to be honest it's more a mix of comic, manga and everything in between, got some real trophies in there too!"

"Interesting. What is the one with the samurai?"

"The one? I have several, but the one I like best is about a samurai who lives in a world that was once populated only by humans, but a cataclysm that brought together the world of humans and the world of magical beings caused the two worlds to become one. Inital humans were nearly wiped out until humans figured out a way to combine the soul of a demon with that of a samurai. These demon samurai, half-man, half-beast, now fight against all sorts of dangers. In the Mange we follow the demon samurai Kentaro who is looking for his daughter, who according to a prophecy will bring about the end of the world. It is a really exciting work that I can only recommend!" Richard chattered excitedly like a waterfall

And, although he already has to fight with his, in the truest sense of the word, inner demon, people and monsters also stand in his way. And he endures all this to find his daughter, who may or may not bring about the end of the world. He is a strong, tragic and realistic character," Richard enthused.

"That seems logical, I believe I can understand your passion for this person's story. I understand tragic figures better than most."
