Battletech: Planet's Fall

Alex decided to go to the bookstore to check out some books. It was a bit small but it had most of what the Penguin liked, Fantasy adventures and even math workbooks. The Mechwarrior wondered around the store trying to decide what to buy.

The bookstore in the mall had a good selection, with everything placed in clear categories. The only downside was the prices being higher than Alex might have expected.

A single female staffer was vaguely watching things. She was actually sitting behind the counter and reading a book of her own. It was the early evening and it had been a slow day. Another staffer had just headed into the staff-only area with an empty book cart.

Alex had decided on some overpriced math book and a fantasy adventure book. The Penguin went to the cashier and smiled. "Excise me... um... do you have notebooks?"

"Oh, hey." The staffer adjusts her glasses as she sits up. "Yeah, there's a little stationary in the centre aisle." Getting up, she leans toward Alex as she points toward it. "Notebooks are there cutie."

Alex smile politely. "Thank you...can you hold these here for me?" The Penguin asked humbly. "I'll be right back. These aren't many people here."

"Of course. Take your time." The lady, who could have passed for a librarian on a casual Friday, gave him a little wave. Totally into him.

Alex went to get a cute notebook with a dragonfly and found the set of pen and pencil with a penguin theme. The pilot came back and smiled. "They may be overpriced but they are so cute. Maybe I should get one more... or do you have a suggestion." The Penguin winked at the young lady.
