Early Start (D10 EE Nunu's Bar)

[John Slaktare]

"I mean... if you're that worried you can stay over with Mei-Ling and me. Wouldn't bother me none," he offers.

[Alex Kovac]

"There is no need. I don't want to bother either of you." The Penguin smiled sadly. "I know... I know but sometimes...you know..."

[John Slaktare]

"You really don't gotta worry about that with me... with us. I don't drink and avoid bars and parties. But here I am. Cause you're a friend and I like being around you. I want you to feel safe and happy. So come spend a few more hours with us after the party and get a good night's rest."

[Alex Kovac]

"Oh.... I rarely drink... and well... I would prefer to be inside a mech fixing it or piloting it than in a party." Alex looked at the drink. " But I made a promise and I have to keep it. Even if it is somewhat silly"

[John Slaktare]

"Yeah, I'd rather be kicking someone's ass than going to a party. But who knows, maybe someone will give me a reason tonight, eh?" John jokes.

"And I don't ever consider keepin a promise silly. Honesty and being reliable are important to me so I always try to keep my promises."

[Alex Kovac]

"Yeah...." the Penguin drank the drink ordered. "Some people see it a a bad omen you know... I am not that superstitious but I always keep those things in mind." Alex confessed.

[John Slaktare]

"Gotta take control for yourself if you want to make good things happen. Superstition ain't gonna make things happen, so I agree with not lettin it be important. Though I still got my good luck routine before piloting."

[Alex Kovac]

"Yeah..." Alex said once again. The Penguin grew quiet as the pilot pondered looking at the drink.

[John Slaktare]

John drinks a bit of his lime soda and thinks for a bit as well.

"Hows your lance doing?"

[Alex Kovac]

"Rico is okay with the new mech. He would like something with more fire power but that is what he gets for making me fix his almost blown up one." Alex chuckled. "Even if it will be fix on April fools." Kovac smiled. "Noah wants to go sailing I guess if the storm passes he can rent a boat and go sailing I guess." Then Alex pondered "Mickey is doing okay...he keep up practicing"

[John Slaktare]

"Should have Mickey and spider work together in the simulators. They're both getting used new mechs," John suggests. "And sailing? Like actually sailing or just boating. Does he know how or is he just wantin to try something new?"

[Alex Kovac]

"One day maybe..." Kovac nodded. "Noah likes the sea so sailing out to the open sea. Looking at the calm waters makes him feel like home." Alex explained.

[John Slaktare]

"I guess I'd need the sounds of cows to feel at home probably. Honestly, I ain't heard a cow in years and I still notice even now. So having something to remind him of home is good," John says with a nod. "Anything like that for you or does the hangar feel like home? You're in there a whole lot."

[Alex Kovac]

"The hangar is not really home but there is a lot of people that I can try to help." The Penguin sighed. "I don't think I have something to call home persé is more comfort rather than home. That feeling... ay... Dios... I don't know town to explain."

[John Slaktare]

"Like nostalgia? Something that feels like something you felt before? Rememberin how you felt in the past instead of the details?"

[Alex Kovac]

"I guess school is what I think of when I feel like that. Yes... nostagia..." Alex nodded in affirmation. "I should visit the library more often I guess."

[John Slaktare]

"I dropped out of school pretty early so I don't got a whole lot of good memories of that time. Mostly just because of a lack of time doing it. Mostly just sports and fights I got in make up my memories of school. Was never good at it and had to help out a lot on the farm anyway. Don't need algerbra to milk a cow." John sips his lime soda before setting it in front of him and turning it mindlessly.

"What would you want to study now? Learn a new language or more about mechs?"

[Alex Kovac]

"I guess finish what I started. Advance mathematics... I got to basically half my studies before I had to leave." Alex finished the drink. "Father needed me in his ranks. So I had to leave school."

[John Slaktare]

"Oh? You want to be a math pro? I bet you are already really good at it still. I hope you get to finish those studies if you like."

[Alex Kovac]

"I am a nerd..." Alex admitted placing the head on top of the bar looking away from John. A finger played with a droplet of water. "It is somewhat hard to... I don't know..." the Penguin sighed.
