John looks to Richard and nods, then looks to Yori. "I hope you're feeling better. Are you up for a dance, waiting for Richard to ask, or still recovering and resting?"

"I...have not danced for sometime, although I studied basic ballroom for my officer's training."
Yori looks between the two neutrally.

"I believe given my level of alcohol consumption, the current state of the party and the local time I could be persuaded to dance."

Richard looked to John in wonder, "Dancing, um,..." he blushed slightly, then looked to Yori and whispered softly to her "You, um,... would have to lead me,."

Richard's darkest secret was revealed: The man had never learned to dance!

"Sounds like it's time for a lesson to me," he says, looking to Yori. "I only ever learned not to step on toes. I'll leave it to you."

"Of course, where are my manners." Mei gave John a kiss and slid out of the booth, following the penguin to the dance floor.

"This isn't going to count as our dance off I hope, we just got our head done so I don't want to have to do any head spins." She said jokingly.

"Of course not... that is for our day at the arcade." Alex smiled. "The game will keep score... today we have fun right?" The Penguin looked at Rico and chuckled. "And make Rico lament that he made me wear this dress."

About the time they reached the dancefloor the song changed and something fun and bouncy came on.

"Well alright then you said you wanted to have fun so lets do it."

Mei wasted no time and took the penguins hands and started dancing, bouncing and twirling along with the music and the penguin's red dress flared out as they did so.

Alex giggled as they twirled and danced. Alex was enjoying every little bit. Rico smiled all the way. Rico has been waiting long to see Alex enjoy life itself for a long time.

"Mei... Um... John asked for me to stay with you. Is it okay?"

Two competing ideas warred in her mind and Mei almost tripped herself in her distraction.

"I..uhh...what do you mean, is he going somewhere?"

She flashed a panicked look over at the table as if to confirm that he was still there.

"Or do you mean...?"

"A sleep over... I hate storms and well... um... I ... kind of get scared...and ..." The Penguin kind of grew a bit shy.

Mei shoulders relaxed and she looked again towards Butcher, a smirk crossing her face.

"Oh that sounds wonderful, yes you can certainly sleep over." She turned back to the penguin and pulled herself in closer and resumed dancing, now slower as the music changed. "I'll be happy when this storm is over too but until then we can keep each other company I think. We can make some hot cocoa, maybe watch a movie or maybe you will bring your guitar and play a bit for us?"

She rested her head on the penguin's shoulder as they slowly swayed in a circle.
