26 Candles (D10, LE Nunu's Bar)

[Mei-Ling Zhou]

"She looked half asleep when she came to the gym, probably slept like shit and I think that had something to do with it." he said and took a sip of his beer and looked to the bar for Yori, "But for more details you'll have to ask John, he grabbed her immediately and ran towards Medbay."

"She's been over there for a while maybe you should help her?" She said following his gaze. "It's busy but I think the bartenders are ignoring her. God I hope this isn't one of those places that doesn't like our kind." She said rolling her eyes in exasperation.

[Richard Winter]

"I'll go check on her," Richard said, walking toward the bar to Yori.

He put a hand on her shoulder "Are you alright? They must be taking a long time for service here."

Yori looks up with a raised eyebrow, nodding
"It seems a busier night than they were expecting. Did you like Sergeant Zhou's gift? She seemed very pleased with it."

[Alex Kovac]

"You absolutely should. You deserve it."

John goes along with the spinning and twirling, supporting and being careful not to toe stomp or drop Alex. He eventually ends a song with a dip and holds his dance partner there for a paused moment. There was apparently no difficulty in supporting the penguins weight.

Alex is quite light and not much need for support. "Shall we get a drink, John?"

[John Slaktare]

"Sounds good," Butcher says with a nod. He kisses Alex's hand tucks it into his arm, and escorts them back to the table.

[Richard Winter]

Yori looks up with a raised eyebrow, nodding
"It seems a busier night than they were expecting. Did you like Sergeant Zhou's gift? She seemed very pleased with it."

"It's a wonderful gift, I didn't think she would go to so much trouble for it" he said with a smile, "On the other hand we've known each other a bit longer now and have been through thick and thin in the Knights, she's the closest thing to a sister I have here".

"Sounds good," Butcher says with a nod. He kisses Alex's hand tucks it into his arm, and escorts them back to the table.

Alex blushed and giggled. The Penguin sat down to enjoy the juice that Richard had brought. It may have been a little watery because of the melted ice but still equally refreshing.

[John Slaktare]

Arriving back at the table, Butcher leans over and kisses Mei-Ling on the cheek before sitting next to her and picking up his cranberry juice. He gives a wave to Rico.

[Mei-Ling Zhou]

"Welcome back, you two look like you had fun."

[Alex Kovac]

"Yes...we did..." Alex smiled. "John didn't step on my toes."

[John Slaktare]

"Figured it'd be less fun with broken toes, so I tried to avoid that. And it was fun. Alex is a good dance partner."

[Mei-Ling Zhou]

"I wanna have a go with both of you." Mei said. "Once you've had a chance to rest a bit and enjoy your drink would you be my partner Alex?"

[Alex Kovac]

"I will be honored." Alex nodded. "I never got those lessons from Alek but I really never called. I have been busy non stop...so yeah."

[John Slaktare]

"Told you you should ask," Butcher says to Alex. "Didn't press it too much, cause I figured she would if you didn't."

He sips his juice.

[Mei-Ling Zhou]

"He knows me well, but before we go any further I would like to make a toast."

Raising her glass she spoke.

"To Richard. You're my brother and best friend, we've been to deaths door together and lost many friends but still we preserver. I don't know if I could have made it this far without you. Now we sit here among new friends and have found new purpose. May your days be long and your regrets few. Happy Birthday."

After getting a beer for Yori and for himself (Which was easier said than done, the bartender was pretty busy), he was back with her just in time for the toast.

He raised his beer and announced, "Hear, hear!" Thank you Mei, my sister and comrade in arms".

Butcher joined in the toast physically, lifting his drink and everything, but didn't say anything. With the group gathered together, John was definitely looking a bit quieter.

Yori offers her own extremely solemn toast as well.

"To many years... salud." Alex rose the glass then went quiet.

[Richard Winter]

"Well then, cheers!" said Richard, taking a large gulp of his beer
