Day 8, EA, Mech Bay - Where There's Smoke...

[Yoko Lee]

Having made some 'friends' down in the Mech Bay the other day, Yoko had made her way down there after lunch to bum some smokes and check on people. Having gotten an Alpaca Slim from Jerry after catching up, she walked over to a staircase looking over the mechbay to light up. She patted her pockets for a lighter before realized she HAD no pockets on this outfit. Cursed fashion!

[Richard Winter]

A lighter would turn on under her nose. "Well, what's up?" asked Richard. He was dressed in what you might call military-casual and had a gun case set down next to him.

[Yoko Lee]

For her part, Yoko was still wearing the stuff she'd exercised in in the morning; A pastel yellow sweatshirt with a chick on it and the phrase "chicks dig me" under it, then black full length elastic exercise pants under it.

"Pockets, that's what's up."

She chuckled softly before holding her cig up to the offered flame, "Thank you much."

A slow drag and a sigh, "Men really do take nice, big, pockets for granted sometimes I think. Though I suppose it WAS my choice to not change out of my workout stuff yet."

[Richard Winter]

Richard shrugged "Big pockets come with big responsibilities" he said mockingly, before lighting a cigarette of his won.

He looked her up and down, commenting her outfit. " Well, at least now you're competing with the mechtech to see who's got the hottest iron in the bay."

[Yoko Lee]

"Zat so?"

Yoko leaned against the railing, watching the workers and pilots moving about below; Not that they were that high up.

"And I like big pockets, so sue me. If I'd thought it would have been appropriate for martial arts practice, I would have worn one of those hoodies with the big front pockets. ...I mean, if I owned one. I'd take the responsibility that entails any day, keep some snacks and smokes in there or something."

[Richard Winter]

Richard laughed and took a drag from his cigarette.

"Maybe Mei can help. She is very good at sewing and shopping. If there is anyone on this ship who can help you in that regard, it's her."

[Yoko Lee]

"I'd rather just buy new clothes than have pockets sewn on. Especially on my old shirt here. It's not like I don't have the C-Bills. ...though I shouldn't be too flippant about that I suppose; Just because I'm no longer in debt doesn't mean I should go diving right back in there."

[Richard Winter]

"Well, but a few comfortable things shouldn't really cost that much" he said and grinned. ""As long as you don't fall prey to a spending spree, of course."

[Yoko Lee]

"Me, fall prey to going on a shopping spree? I'd never."

The sarcasm was thick there.

"Still, I suppose that's a benefit of sharing a bunk and all the traveling and such; It's not like I want to have a closet-full of things to wear. Try to store that in a footlocker and try to ship around like some noblewoman on vacation or such."

A slow drag, "As romantic an idea as films can make that seem."

[Richard Winter]

He laughed "It's definitely not the most glorious form of travel" he leaned against a steel beam.
"But in the movies they definitely have bigger quarters, I'd like to know how big the captains' are, I'd certainly be able to fit a workbench in there"

[Yoko Lee]

"Hm... you have your own quarters though, right? I thought the mechwarriors each got their own."

She'd not actually been in any, so she wasn't sure on the details.

[Richard Winter]

"Oh, yes i do, i do" he replied. "It is a bit bigger than the ones of the sergeants, couldn't imagine storing my collection in one of their bunks"

[Yoko Lee]

An eyebrow went up, "One of the ones where you even have your own little shower stall?"

[Richard Winter]

"That's correct" he smiled deviously

[Yoko Lee]

"Hmm... maybe I could use it some time? Not that the barrack showers are bad or anything, but there's something about having all the time and privacy that one could want... I hear those nuclear water heaters are amaaaazing~"

[Richard Winter]

"Depends on what I get out of it" he teased her "But don't come up with anything stupid" he pointed his thumb at himself "I'm dating right now" he said confidently

[Yoko Lee]

That got a raise of an eyebrow as she looked over at him, "Dating, hm? You don't say. I've heard that line before in the past, so I won't bug you about it. But something besides giving my body in return then, huh..."

She turns back to the hangar from where she was leaning on the railing, "Hm... I might need to think about that a sec."

[Richard Winter]

"Don't worry too much about it" he laughed. "Maybe you can just share a cigarette more often"

[Yoko Lee]

"Fair. Maybe even a cigar if the situation warrants, hm?"

[Richard Winter]

"That would be fancy! Together with a nice Whiskey, a bit of poker,... hehe feels like the old gangster movies"
