Paging Doctor Ainsley (D6 LA, Medical)

[Ezmeralda]

Ezmeralda laid out on a medical bed. She groggily regained consciousness moments ago and winced as she tried to get up leading to her staying (thankfully) put. She heard the nurse's page and assumed it was about her.

She had really made a mess of it.

[Eilonwy Ainsley]

"Lay still." Autumn advised. "Dr. Elle will get you patched up. What happened out there?"

[Ezmeralda]

"Sure," she settled in, "I decided to go toe to toe with another Hunchback and the bastard kept managing to move their arm in the way of my cannon." She sighed, "Long story short; got in a brawl, there was a big boom and auto-eject is likely the only reason I'm not dead."

[Eilonwy Ainsley]

"Be thankful for auto-eject." Eilonwy said as she finally approached. A tray of tools was rolled up beside her. "Are you feeling anything other than pain? Any numbness? Difficulty breathing? Sensitivity to light?"

[Ezmeralda]

"Uh, not too sure. I blacked out when it happened and just came to doc," she said blearily, "Breathing is fine but it did hurt when I tried to get up though."

[Eilonwy Ainsley]

"You definitely got knocked around. Let me know how this feels." She began to gently press against areas of Ezmeralda' abdomen with a stethoscope. "You have a few minor burns and some light lacerations. You're heavily bruised, though."

[Ezmeralda]

"Sounds right," she sighed, "Honestly if is just that I got off lucky."

"So what's my treatment going to be like?"

[Eilonwy Ainsley]

"Nothing major." she assured her. "I'll give you a few stitches to close up this gash. Some ointment for the burns. And, some meds for the pain. Let me know if you experience anything new, or if the pain persists beyond a day or two."

[Ezmeralda]

"Sure, seems reasonable," she said with resignation, "Alright lets get the stitches done. No sense lingering on it too much." She moved with a wince to let the doctor get at it.

[Eilonwy Ainsley]

"This will sting." She began cleaning and prepping the wound and was soon stitching it closed. "How did everything else go out there?"

[Ezmeralda]

She winced but made the effort to move through it, "Not bad. Unless something went beyond wrong after I went down the rest of my lance is fine. I drew waaaay too much fire I guess. Which sucks for them the lightest mech on the lance kept getting the last shot in." She laughed and then immediately regretted it.

"Ow, bruised there."

[Eilonwy Ainsley]

"You've bruised a few ribs." she nodded. "You can try icing the area, but it will take a while to heal."

[Ezmeralda]

"Right, no comedies during my recuperation. Good to know," she said trying to stay still, "Got any good book or vid suggestions for a solid day of bed rest? Purely serious of course."

[Eilonwy Ainsley]

"I just finished a text on improvised organ replacement. It was very interesting, but I don't think it would make for a good vid" she grinned. "It's mostly medical journals or cookbooks for me, with a few mythology texts. Autumn has some romance novels, though."

[Ezmeralda]

"A romance novel might not be bad. What sort do you have?" she asked the nurse, "Office romance, slice of life, love on the battlefield stuff?"

[Eilonwy Ainsley]

"I have a soldier one." Autumn nodded. "But, most are about mechanics or hackers. Diamonds in the rough or easily overlooked. That type of thing."

[Ezmeralda]

"I'm not sure about mechanics. I mean, as romance book fodder. I am fine with them in general obvious- ow! Right, no laughing," she carefully sighed, "I might try a hacker one though."

[Eilonwy Ainsley]

"Some of those can be really out there. I have one about a girl trying to rescue a guy from a computer reality." Autumn explained. "It goes all sorts of places."

[Ezmeralda]

"That sounds interesting," her eyes gave Autumn the once over, "I'm okay with all sorts of places."

She winced, "Oh, it hurts to laugh."

[Eilonwy Ainsley]

"The pain means you're alive though." The doctor had finished. "Try not to get the stitches wet."
