[John Slaktare]

"Much as you want. You saw how little I keep. I had space enough for a bunch of your stuff before. Now I got even more. I want you to bring whatever'll make you feel comfortable and at home."

John draws little circles on the back of her hand with his thumb, and uses the other hand to drink some water.

[Mei-Ling Zhou]

"OK but don't be surprised when I wheel a cart into your room. Hey by the way do you happen to know what Ducky's favorite color is? I'm almost done with my gift for her and i want to add more little touch to it."

[John Slaktare]

"Nope. I don't usually talk about that kinda stuff with folks. I been guessing yours is red, but I only really know you don't like orange," he replies.

"Figured because of the contacts that you liked red."

[Mei-Ling Zhou]

"Oh yeah, my favorite color has changed several times. Used to be blue, then purple for a long time now it's red. I think I'm just working my way through the gradient but that would mean orange is next so fuck that. I just like colors a lot, even black and white. I'll wear the contacts tomorrow when we go out, need to dye my hair too; I think I will go full femme fatal for this just cause."

[John Slaktare]

"I look forward to seein what you do. Should be fun. I'm not much for fashion and all that myself. Maybe you can help me out with that sometime."

[Mei-Ling Zhou]

"You're better at it than you think, your day to day look really suits you. But if you ever want to change things up I would love to help you, Alex and I spent some time in town shopping the other day. Alex lost a bet and has to wear a red dress to the next company party and needed some shoes to go with the dress I gave them. I can't wait to see that it's going to blow people's minds."

[John Slaktare]

"Alex has been lookin kind of low recently. Gave'em some time to talk things out with me the other day. Prolly keep an eye out?" John suggests. "Was worried about the danger kind of like you are this morning. But definitely more unhappy."

[Mei-Ling Zhou]

"Really? Damn that's a shame, a couple days ago Alex seemed in a really good place. Should I drag Alex along tomorrow night?"

[John Slaktare]

"I... Actually, I guess it was like a week ago on the first day of battle. Times going by pretty quick. Guess Alex might have gotten better and I didn't realize? Sometimes I notice shit, other times I'm blind. If you want to invite Alex out that's fine. You're in charge."

[Mei-Ling Zhou]

"Yeah, that's why I want to get out of here a while. The days just blend together, not that that's all bad because most of that time has been spent with you."

[John Slaktare]

"I know I ain't got any complaints about who I spend my time with. But yeah, getting away from what you know and getting to do somethin different can definitely shake up the routine."

[Mei-Ling Zhou]

"So you're really not going to drink anything and your OK with me drinking? I'm not judging mind you, well not judging YOU. Have you ever drank?"

[John Slaktare]

"Yeah. For a while there. Not a lot though cause it makes me feel uncomfortable. Like physically it makes me feel a bit of pain when I drink. In my arm and stuff. So yeah, I'm good with not drinking. I can make sure nobody does anything too crazy like breaking personal property."

[Mei-Ling Zhou]

"Huh, that's weird. Well it's probably for best then that you don't. I've never met someone with no vices before you. It continues to surprise me but also makes you more unique. Prior to meeting you i would have guessed you were a chainsmoker."

[John Slaktare]

"My vice is fighting. I just ain't been provoked recently. Also, I also have a lot less fun than most other folks outside work. It's all a trade-off."

[Mei-Ling Zhou]

"I guess Ducky and I are gonna have to learn how to fight to keep you entertained on the farm. I should give her my room but I also want to us it for storage. What do you think?"

[John Slaktare]

"Not sure how the admin folks would take to switching rooms around like that. I'd be for it, but if you're staying with me, but it's still technically your room. No clue."

[Mei-Ling Zhou]

"Do you know how old she is? She's so small and innocent that it makes me think she's like Cat's age; same thing with Alex, I have no idea what's going on their either."

[John Slaktare]

"She's only a year younger than me I think. 27 now? Probably just seems younger with how small she is. I don't know how old Alex is."

[Mei-Ling Zhou]

"She's older than me?! Wow, what the hell that's crazy. I never would have guessed that. I'm so used to anyone shorter than me being a child, I need to stop treating Hrafn with kid gloves."
