Terms of Contract (Day 8 EA, Admin offices)

[Lakshmi Kaala]

"Next time you need to find something to hide behind." Laks says, starting to laugh. "Otherwise she'll beat you again."

[Ezmeralda]

"Well, I had sort of picked a map without much cover so I could best get that big gun to work," she scratched her cheek, "She was only out of range for the opening barrage."

She sighed, "After that I sort of tried keep mobile with jumps and get in laser range and, well, she wasn't too worried about my firepower."

[Lakshmi Kaala]

"Nobody would be. Better luck next time Ez..."

Laks does a little palm drumming on the table.

"I'll stop by your bunk tomorrow morning at 9."

[Tessa Wentworth]

Tessa looks to make sure Ez has signed and business had concluded.

[Ezmeralda]

"Well, alright then Captain," she nodded signed Tessa's paperwork and let out a sigh, "That could have been worse."

[Tessa Wentworth]

Tessa smiled and collected the paperwork. "I'll get this filed away and everything arranged. Please enjoy your new mech and stay safe Ezmeralda."

She gets up, giving Laks a pat on the shoulder and Ez a polite nod, before she stepped out. "Excuse me..."

[Lakshmi Kaala]

"Sooo..." It was just Laks and Ez. "What did you bet this time?"

[Ezmeralda]

"Tango was going to wear something cute and girly but since I lost, well, I'm wearing a binder," she fidgeted, "For three days..."

[Lakshmi Kaala]

"Three days, neh? That sounds tough. Are you sure you're not losing these bets on purpose?" Laks teases Ez a little bit. She placed her chin on her hands, elbows on the table, and grins at Ezmeralda. "I prefer your normal look, but this is pretty funny."

[Ezmeralda]

"The bunny costume thing was a lot that fuel supply depot mishap but I am starting to feel a bit unlucky this op," she leaned back and sighed, "She also got one of my bras which she is stuffing, which is pretty hilarious."

[Lakshmi Kaala]

"I'll watch out for that." Laks replies with a giggle. "Your lance is really full of oddballs. You included." She plays with her hair as she turns thoughtful. "I wonder. Should I give you a lucky charm to counter your bad luck?"

[Ezmeralda]

"Actually that'd be appreciated. I lost all my cockpit charms with the hunchie." She rubbed her neck.

[Lakshmi Kaala]

"Then we can go shopping for some more after tomorrow. I'm heading into the mining town later. I'll keep an eye out for a good shop. For now... let's see."

She gets up and signals for Ezmeralda to follow her. "I've got a few things in my room. Don't forget your copy of the agreement."

[Ezmeralda]

She grabbed her paperwork and got up to follow. "Yeah, I could use a trip in town. I keep missing the transports in," she shrugged, "So what have you got?"

[Lakshmi Kaala]

"Some stickers, key charms and old magazines you could cut up for the pictures. Most of it is stuff from when I was younger or from other Angels. It's all in a drawer in my room. There's going to be a lot I've forgotten about... hey, why were you so hesitant about the Orion? I had to actually talk Eric into it so it hurt when you treated me like some suspicious person." Laks comments as they left the meeting room.

[Ezmeralda]

"Tessa had already explained the standard payout scheme. None of this forward bonuses because we are getting good mech salvage stuff. So I spent the entire time going, 'Oh, god Steph was right. I'm going to be stuck in that Urbanmech,'" she shook her head to scare off the thought, "You were too late with the good news the rules as written had already been reviewed."

[Lakshmi Kaala]

"Ara. I understand more now. You could trust me a little more." Laks points out with another chuckle. "Well, I'll get you to, one day. That or I officially assign you to that Urbanmech because you are too cold to me. You didn't even come to me first." She stops in the corridor to make a show of dabbing under her eyes.

[Ezmeralda]

"Please don't~!" she begged jokingly, "That was really terrible to pilot. Besides Tessa handles all the paperwork and money. I wanted to know the situation before I talked to folks."

[Lakshmi Kaala]

"Maaaaybe I'll forgive you if you're nice. We'll see." She has a bounce to her step as she resumes heading toward her room. It was up a floor and among the nicer officers' quarters.

[Ezmeralda]

"I can be nice," she pats her chest, "Heck, at the moment I can probably pull off cute."

She watched Lakshmi, "Well you sure are excited. Now I'm really curious."
