Victory Party (Day 11 LE break room)

[Ezmeralda]

Ez smiled, "Welcome Captain. Looking to have some fun with us?"

She paused, "We need to set an important ground rule: Yes or no to back up dancers tonight?" She grinned wickedly at the other two.

[Lakshmi Kaala]

"Psssh, just call me Laks, Yoko. Everyone else does."

She signalled both women to come over as she bent forward over the bag. Her strappy dress was tight and covered her thighs, so it made crouching a little difficult.

"You said I could come when you asked me to book the room for your karaoke. I even set up the machine for you. Do you know how much of a pain it was to find? It was moved."

Her face shows a lack of comprehension at the back up dancers question. "Did I miss something?" She reached behind herself to rub her back, as she was still bent forward. "And do you not want to see what I brought?" She pouts at the pair of them.

[Yoko Lee]

"I certainly do Laks."

Yoko had stopped dancing and walked over curiously, both at what Lakshmi had brought and to the tightness of the dress the Captain wore.

[Ezmeralda]

She smiled and came over. "No worries Laks, what have you got?"

"Yoko had been having fun dancing and I had asked if she wanted to do back up dancing for my next set," she grinned as she filled her in, "Though everyone is making me feel like I picked the wrong outfit."

[Lakshmi Kaala]

Laks tugs the top of the bag open to reveal a big mixed flavour bag of potato chips packs, a pack of brownie bites and some toffee flavoured popcorn. She grabs the snacks and chucks them onto the table or whoever looked particularly interested in one. Below that was something wrapped in tin foil, a bunch of fruit flavoured alcoholic drinks popular in Draconis space and a bottle of cola. Better still, there was also a tub of ice cream sitting in a bowl with four spoons. Laks picks that out and holds it up as she stands up straight.

"Cookie dough ice cream." She states, proud of herself. "You're welcome~"

Laks checks Ez's appearance more. "Well, at least you're back to yourself." She grins knowingly.

[Yoko Lee]

Yoko felt fat just looking at all the junkfood. But her stomach gave an audible grumble of disagreement, "I'm actually lactose intolerant, so you two can share the ice cream. All the rest of those treats though... they're fair game I take it?"

She barely knew where to start.

[Ezmeralda]

"Sh-should I have brought the lance with me?" Ez asked as she watched in amazement at the amount of snacks that started to pile up, "I mean ice cream sounds great but..." she looked at the full table, "There are just three of us."

"Ah, well, you know..." she laughed as Laks directed attention straight at her, "Things have resolved."

[Lakshmi Kaala]

"Ara, sorry. Didn't know. Help yourself, hai." She says to Yoko as she hands Ez the ice cream. She bends forward again to grab the bag and to take it over to the table. The bowl and a couple spoons are set down.

"I'm glad." She says to Ez, grabbing a can of the sweet fruit flavoured alcohol and clicking it open. "Hey, I didn't know who you'd invite. I thought there would be a bunch of you. Maybe just don't eat everything then? I feel stupid now." She has a quick sip only to set down her can and take out the tin foil wrapped thing. She undoes it to show off a bunch of savoury wraps. Chicken Caesar, hoisin duck, ham salad, a vegan option and a mojito shrimp lettuce wrap. The Captain slumps back in her seat.

"I nearly did a curry wrap too. Very glad I didn't now. Hope you're hungry." Poor Laks.

[Yoko Lee]

Yoko is already into the chips, having not eaten anything since a light lunch. She gets an eyeful of Laks cleavage as she leans forward yet again and her mouth dries out, Yoko taking a sip of her beer.

"I'm plenty hungry, yeah. And the evening is young. So don't worry too much, neh?"

[Ezmeralda]

She grinned as Laks brought out the ice cream. "Ah, okay, that's fair then. Shireen and Steph would, likely, change the mood of the music a bit," she gave Lakshmi a cuddly hug, "Thanks for the snacks! I will remember to send you an expected participants list next time."

[Lakshmi Kaala]

"Kay... Next time I hear you say 'it's for a couple of us' I'll take it literally." Laks comments as she returns Ez's hug. She gives the taller woman a squeeze around the waist. Ez's enthusiasm was perking her up again slowly. "You're welcome and make sure you do. So, what is the music anyway?"

[Yoko Lee]

"Playlist seems to be mostly old TV themes and party songs. A bit of ballads in there and some folk songs, likely for older folks who don't know the newer stuff."

Crunch, crunch... the kettle chips were super crunchy and greasy and salty... just how Yoko liked them. And all that salty savoriness just made her want more to drink, like how a bar left pretzels or other salty snacks out for free in order to get more drink sales.

[Ezmeralda]

Ez finished off her beer before picking up a bowl of ice cream. "I think it was bought new during the 4th Succession War. This does mean my backwoods butt does know some of the songs but, like, that is a bad thing in general. We could probably do buying some more tracks in town? Or discs?" she looked at the machine, "OK, so. I have no idea how you update a karaoke machine."

She ate some ice cream. "Someone should sing something? Or pick something with good backing music?"

[Lakshmi Kaala]

Laks plops a spoon into the remaining half of the ice cream in the tub. The rest was in Ez's bowl. She has a spoonful, causing a happy shiver.

"It's got songs and visuals loaded onto the main hard drive. There should be some room left if we can find the right CDs or data storage to download from."

She has another spoonful of ice cream.

"Wakanai~yo~! I need a drink first and this is going to melt, so... Yoko." She nominates the pretty support staffer. "Ganbare~!" A big thumbs up follows as Laks a third spoonful of ice cream. She was digging through it quick.

[Yoko Lee]

"What, me sing first? Hai, hai~ I can certainly do that."

She looks at Ez, "I dunno about the backup dancing stuff, but let me just put it this way; I won't stop you from dancing if you want to, neh?"

Yoko looks through the songs again; Despite not having CDs or drives with her, it really was a pretty good selection of songs, almost 800 on the machine as it was. Wanting something that wouldn't be TOO distracting while people ate and finished setting things up, she picked something light and kind of jazzy, something that better fit her voice truthfully.

[Ezmeralda]

"Ice cream then dancing," Ez said with a nod as she kept going. She did sway along with the song as she kept munching away. "This really suits you Yoko~!"

[Lakshmi Kaala]

The petite Captain tapped her leg along to the music. She enjoyed Yoko's song. If she wasn't gobbling ice cream like some sort of icy dessert fiend she'd have cheered her on or danced. However, ice cream came first.

[Yoko Lee]

Yoko finished up the song and the karaoke machine went to something quiet as it did for the menu music, Yoko turning and bowing to the other two women, mic in her right hand.

"Thank you, thank you. Think I'll have a quick drink then do another while you two eat more of that ice cream. I'll admit to having a weakness for cookie dough though, even if I can't eat the ice cream flavor version of it."

She turned back to the machine and turned the dial to flip through the songs, humming to herself along with the menu music as she did so, speaking up while she went into the ballad category, "I don't suppose either of you mind if I have a smoke after this one, do you? I'm getting a craving here, I'll admit."

[Ezmeralda]

"I'm okay with it," she said as she finished her ice cream pushing the empty dish out with a faint ring of the spoon clattering, "The ice cream is really good but everything else isn't really sweet so..." she cracked one of Laks' drinks, "Priorities~! Smoke doesn't spoil my appetite for snacks and booze so all good by me."

She leaned forward excited for the next song.

[Lakshmi Kaala]

"You'd have liked the cookies that were made a couple of weeks ago. I think Mei-Ling, one of the mechwarriors, and... the new doctor." She had ended up with a couple. "I'll save you some cookie dough next time I bake any. Nice singing Yoko."

She winced at the idea of a smoke in the closed confines of the room. There wasn't exactly an open window or an extractor. It was permitted, but not really Lak's thing.

"I might leave you both to it." She wasn't keen on second hand smoke especially, but she didn't want to ruin their fun.
