Rolling On The Mat (D10 EM Gym)

[Yoko Lee]

She laughed, "Hey Richard, hey John. I'm still half asleep and I haven't done any stretching yet, so if you want an easy target, I suppose I could oblige. Otherwise you're going to have to give me a few minutes here."

[John Slaktare]

"Take what time you need. No point in rushing," John says with a nod.

"How's the arm? Looks like it's being a bit wonky," he observes toward Richard.

[Richard Winter]

"It's this damn storm, I don't know why but I think it's affecting the electronics" he said looking frustrated "I hate rain, and now this shit"

[Yoko Lee]

Yoko took out her own water and drank some to get the morning out of her mouth before splashing a bit on her face with her eyes closed, setting the water bottle down and rubbing it in to get the crusties out. Ah, the joys of waking up.

[John Slaktare]

"They mentioned something like this in one of the earlier briefings. Didn't expect it'd be this bad," Butcher says with a nod.

He moves back to the mat and sits down, stretching his legs out a bit.

[Richard Winter]

"Hmmmh" he mumbled, "This old metal block is too delicate for my taste, but I don't think I can find anything better" he went back to moving his limbs.

[Yoko Lee]

"It even acts up in the rain though," Yoko asked curiously, patting her face with her towel before setting that down as well and starting to stretch her arms.

[Richard Winter]

He shook his head, "Nah, i just don't like rain." He then smiled, "But it does get rusty if i don't care for it enough."

[John Slaktare]

"Everything needs care. But these storms are pretty crazy if they are affecting prosthetics even though the ships hulls."

Standing up, Butcher does some stretches, grabbing his toes. He is apparently quite flexible as he can almost touch his head to his knee.

[Yoko Lee]

"Every planet has its own unique weather. Why, back where I was born it would literally rain fish once or twice a year."

She stretched as she talked, one arm behind her head at a time to stretch her shoulders.

[Richard Winter]

"He looked at Yoko and John, would you two like to spar for a minute? I'm going to try something out."

Richard started to fiddle with his right shoulder.

[John Slaktare]

"Take what time you need to straighten it out," John replies before turning to Yoko. "Practice the combo from the other day a couple times?"

[Yoko Lee]

Yoko nodded and walked over toButcher, "I'm cool with that. Where did you want to pick things up? I think I remember you saying you had something in mind."

[John Slaktare]

"Let's go through the steps for the takedown and arm bar a couple times. Then I can show you a triangle choke, teach you how to choke someone out with your legs," he says with a nod.

[Yoko Lee]

Yoko nodded firmly, "Sounds good to me. Same armbar you showed me last time?"

[John Slaktare]

"Yep," he says getting into his stance and nodding to her that he's ready. At least the first time he was going to move along with and guide her through to reinforce the movements. Token resistance will come later.

[Yoko Lee]

Fortunately, despite not being the most educated woman out there, Yoko actually had a good memory and was a fast learner. So, despite only having one lesson, she remembered the steps and intricacies of Butcher's lesson, repeating the motions and holds a few times with minimum prompting.

[Richard Winter]

From Richard's side, you could hear the mechanical clack of a shutter coupled with a slight pffft and groan.

He had removed his mechanical arm and the connection that was embedded in the shoulder was now open.
He sat cross-legged in front of it and examined the connection of the arm to see if he could find any rusty or damaged parts.

[John Slaktare]

"Good. The more you practice it, the quicker and smoother it will go," he says, staying on the ground after the last go.

"Alright, so, the triangle choke can be done front or back. I'm gonna show you how to do it from the back if someone tries to slip away from the arm bar, turning their back to you and trying to roll away."

[Yoko Lee]

"Yes sir."

Yoko nodded and waited for instructions; She'd almost moved to help him up, but it sounded like what Butch was talking about was a followup from the hold she was in now.
