Promotion Party (D2 LE Butcher's Room)

[Mei-Ling Zhou]

"You mean after I put it in the dirt twice yesterday? Yeah it's fine, not sure if I am. As much as I need to start going to the gym daily, something I failed to do today, I need to get my ass back in the simulator on a regular basis. Gǔ is ready though, he's always ready and hopefully they have something big dumb and slow he can run some circles around. What about you, you getting the itch to cleave something?"

[John Slaktare]

"The itch is always there. You just don't see how much it bugs me until I scratch it. And yeah, I imagine that going down didn't really do anything major to your mech. They're tough."

Butcher finishes off the roll and packs the trash wrapper back into the outer pouch.

[Mei-Ling Zhou]

"Thanks for the dinner, what's next dancing? A movie?" She said with a giggle thinking how this was a date for them.

[John Slaktare]

John shakes his head and thinks for a bit, he's not nervous or scared. Asking 'what's next' when she had come over as a surprise and there was no plan? What's next, should be a bit of personal hygiene before what is actually next.

Butcher looks over at Mei-Ling for a long moment. "What is next? Do you want that toothbrush?"

[Mei-Ling Zhou]

She stood up and walked over to the sink. "Yeah thank, that's probably a great idea. Those meals are good for a lot of things but they never leave your breath smelling good. I'll get you a replacement for it later."

She looked at him the mirror and ran a hand down his back. "Don't you get bored in here alone with nothing to do?"

[John Slaktare]

"I have a drawer full of them. Don't need a replacement. And the bunk is for bunk related activities. So I don't spend much time in here," John replies as he moves to the cleaning supply drawer and grabs a fresh toothbrush, still in the wrapper.

Butcher returns to her and places the new one in her hand. He grabs his own and takes care of his teeth while she unwraps hers.

[Mei-Ling Zhou]

"Eat, sleep, fuck and clean huh; that about it? I haven't been spending a ton of time in my room lately and I really need to, I've promised so many people scarves and sweaters."

She began to brush, thinking about this oddly domestic moment they were sharing and how nice it was.

[John Slaktare]

"Well, takes time and you're gonna be busy," he replies before a rinse.

He waits for Mei-Ling to finish then takes her brush, tucking it into his toiletry storage. Because he was making assumptions.

[Mei-Ling Zhou]

That little gesture, letting her keep the toothbrush in his room, was so endearing that Mei let out a soft little whimper.

"Thanks." she said after a thorough rinse. "I'll be sure to have one in my room if you ever come by."

She was just standing there, looking into the mirror but not really focused on it or anything.

He's such a good guy while still being a badass. He like that guy with the spikey hair from those comics Richard lent me come to life.

He didn't have anything else to take care of, right? Trash was picked up, was pretty clean, and had his small dinner. Everything was in order.

Butcher moves to stand behind Mei-Ling, putting his arms around her. He talks in a low voice in her ear, "I'm lookin forward to battle tomorrow. It'll make me feel alive. But I wanna feel alive tonight too. Heart pounding, blood pumping, adrenaline rushing..."

[Mei-Ling Zhou]

Mei leaned back into him and tilted her head back looking up at him.

"I wanna see you in action again, it's been too long since I got to see you fight. I hope I'm there, I hope we can fight together but until then..." She turned in his arms to face him.

"Start with me."

His eyes were intense as he pulled tighter. "Whatever you want," John replies as he lifts her from the floor and carries her across the threshold of...
