[Richard Winter]

"Hey, hey" he put down his cup and hugged Mei, "You won't be able to shake me off so soon"

[Mei-Ling Zhou]

Mei hugged him back fiercely. It wasn't the first time she had been overwhelmed by the sadness of likely never seeing her parents again. She sniffed and wiped her eyes before starting to pull away.

"I'm sorry, I should be stronger by now. I'm gonna hold you to that promise though, if you run off and disappear on my I will hunt you down. If you die on me I will reverse haunt your ass I promise." She said laughing away the pain.

[Richard Winter]

"You are strong Mei, everyone needs to blow off steam, it doesn't make you weak" he comforted her to the promise he said "I am a man of my word and I have no plans to die so far, at least not within the next 50 years or so" he tried to quip a bit.

[Mei-Ling Zhou]

"Not strong enough. Everyone here has REAL problems they are dealing with and I'm over here crying because I miss my mommy and daddy."

She took a sip of tea to clear her throat and continued.

"50 years, is that all? I'm still holding out for someone discovering immortality, life's too much fun for the ride to end."

[Richard Winter]

Richard smiled warmly, "Mei once told me the size of my problem didn't matter, a problem is a problem. And everyone should be able to talk about it to make you feel better."

Richard picked up his cup again,
"I mean, immortality would be a possibility too, maybe I can replace enough body parts with machines and someday be like the Tech-Pastors from BattleMace 69Million"

[Mei-Ling Zhou]

"Is that the one with the golden king guy and the weird murder bugs? I always enjoyed watching you play that."

She refilled her tea and sipped it then decided to add a splash of honey.

"So...the war is going well, were both happy in relationships, everything is looking good so I guess sit's OK to get a little selfish now right?"

[Richard Winter]

"Yes, yes it is." he said, drinking the rest of his coffee. "What do you think about the rumor that there might be a truce?"

[Mei-Ling Zhou]

"It's crazy. I mean, we've been kicking ass here but for the fighting to end already the mainland must have been a cakewalk. What would we even do, just go find a pleasure world and chill for a month? I would love to be able to spend some domestic time with John and you and I went from a flight to months in a ship with people we didn't know then into another fight. I haven't even gotten close to a promotion which I was really hoping to earn."
