Day 12, EE, Medbay - Head Check

[Yoko Lee]

"That would be perfect, actually."

A small breath of laughter came from Yoko's nose, "Sometimes I wish I had a mini fridge to put my pillows in, especially when the nights get warmer than twenty like in the summer. Would help my sleep and my head a good bit, I would think. Though I've tried things like that before and they just warm right back up so quickly."

[Eilonwy Ainsley]

A cool cloth was placed on her forehead.

"I don't have pillow refrigeration, but we can do these treatments whenever you'd like."

[Yoko Lee]

Yoko visibly relaxed as the cooling fought away the throbbing, leaving her eyes closed, "Mmmf... well, if I ever get another bout of migraines I probably will. Coming here every evening in order to sleep better seems a bit much though."

[Eilonwy Ainsley]

"It is pretty quiet in here, though." she chuckled. "I've caught Autumn napping on slow days. But, it's not the coziest of environments."

[Yoko Lee]

"It's not always quiet in here. I suspect there are going to be a lot of people in here tonight and tomorrow, based on the communications from the front lines. Once the transports are finished bringing back the casualties from today."

[Eilonwy Ainsley]

"True. But, we've been fortunate." she nodded. "We haven't had anyone in need of continued intensive care. No one that hasn't been able to convalesce in the comfort of their own bunk."

[Yoko Lee]

That does get one of Yoko's eyes open, "That include any of the foot sloggers or such that have to share bunks? I can't imagine that'd be the best environment to relax and get better in. Though not much better or worse than this place."

[Eilonwy Ainsley]

"Arrangements were made where necessary." she explained. "I expect doing so will become more difficult, however. We've been fortunate, but we're bound to see more casualties with more severe trauma."

[Yoko Lee]

"...you know Doc, I have some medical training of my own. So I could help if it came down to that."

[Eilonwy Ainsley]

"Thank you. If it's necessary, I may accept that offer." she smiled. "But, I hope it won't be."

[Yoko Lee]

Yoko opened an eye again; It was more comfortable with them closed, but still, "What, you wouldn't jump on an excuse to spend more time with your adorable junior officer, no matter the circumstances?"

[Eilonwy Ainsley]

"Not like that." she shook her head. "There are better excuses and better ways to spend that time. We could have a lot more fun than that."

[Yoko Lee]

"Tch. Fair."

At this point, Yoko was feeling too comfortable and relaxed to get up, despite the fact the medbay examination table wasn't exactly made for comfort.

"So, how long am I supposed to leave this thing on my forehead like this?"

[Eilonwy Ainsley]

"For as long as you want. I'm not going to kick you out." she answered. "But, I imagine you'd rather be somewhere more comfortable."

[Yoko Lee]

"Like where? I don't think heading back to my bunk early really qualifies. So unless they decided to add a jacuzzi to the base..."

[Eilonwy Ainsley]

"True. I couldn't get approval for that." she sighed. "You're welcome to stay. It's nice to have company in here that I don't have to operate on."

[Yoko Lee]

"Not even for 'medical reasons'? If anyone could, it's you Doc."

Yoko smirked and reached up, taking the cool compress from Eilonwy.

[Eilonwy Ainsley]

"It was for medical reasons." she shrugged. "But, when asked, I had to admit that I'd allow it to be used by anyone just wanting a soak. Especially if they were cute."

[Yoko Lee]

A chuckle, "How is that not upside? Help with medical issues AND improve morale? I see no downside there."

[Eilonwy Ainsley]

"Frivolous and unnecessary." she sighed. "Maybe in the future. Then we can take a dip together."
