[Tanaki]

He lets her connect, even bending over double and letting out air in exaggerated fashion. When he "recovers" he says, "So what did you hit me with, was it your fingers, you knuckles, your palm? Feel your hand, and tell me what are the "hardest" parts of it?"

[GM Yuusha]

"Erm." She ran her left hand over her right, touching her fist and thinking about it. "The knuckles?"

[Tanaki]

He nods "The knuckles are good, the side of your hand, where your pinky is, is better its like a knife blade. " He then curls up his fingers "The base of your palm is best, it's like a hammer, " He holds it out for her to feel. "Do you know what Centrifugal force is?"

[GM Yuusha]

She reached out with both hands to touch his hand, shaking her head at the question. Tanaki would get the impression she was keen to learn things, but that she needed to be shown and to have things explained in ways she could understand.

[Tanaki]

Tanaki walks over to the side and picks up two 1-lb weights bringing them over to her. He hands her one, "Throw this at that wall."

[GM Yuusha]

"C-can I? But... the Sergeant Major told me off once for dropping a weight." Anna shifts about uneasily. She wanted to throw it, but not if it was a trick and she'd get in trouble.

[Tanaki]

"Go ahead, for this demonstration, not something you should normally do, I'll take the heat for it" He waves for her to try.

[GM Yuusha]

"Erm, kay!" She picks up one of the weights, using her right hand, and goes to throw it. She naturally does so a little like a shot put throw, pulling it back toward her shoulder and then hurling it forward from a low stance. It does hit the wall, bouncing off to the floor with a loud thud, but there's no damage. She lacks the strength for that.

[Tanaki]

"Good job, now I want you to take this one, and do it again, but when you throw I want you to spin around first and let it go as you finish." He mimes doing so himself to show her.

[GM Yuusha]

"... R-right!"

She tries copying Tanaki and hurling the weight. It hits the bottom of the wall off to the side of where she was waiting. She winces and looks to Tanaki.

[Tanaki]

"Good!" He smiles, "Now which one felt like a stronger throw, was there more power in the first or the second do you think?"

[GM Yuusha]

"... I don't know." She tilts her head left and right, thinking it over. "Nope."

[Tanaki]

He smiles and shakes his head, 'The turn should have given you a little more power, a little more force, though at the cost of control. Same reason a rifle spins the bullet. "

[GM Yuusha]

"It does?! I didn't know that." Anna crosses her arms. She looks confused. "How does it spin the bullet?"

[Tanaki]

"The reason its called a rifle, is the barrel is rifled, there are little grooves inside it in a corkscrew pattern" He takes his arm placing it at his hip, then bringing it forward, spinning the fist slightly in a corkscrew, " It adds power and precision to the bullet"

[GM Yuusha]

The small girl looks up to Tanaki and nods slowly...

"R-right."

She waits for further instruction. Her head must have been rifled too. It was spinning.

[Tanaki]

"hmmm" he smiles, "Lets try this, pull my arm, try to knock me other" He holds out his arm to her.

[GM Yuusha]

"Okay." Her face scrunched up a little as she considered how to go about it. She grab's Tanaki's wrist with both hands and tugs.

[Tanaki]

He doesn't really move, "Now try again, only this time, grip a little higher, torso twist, and lean in the direction you want me to go, stay low, and use leverage and the spin for power"

[GM Yuusha]

This new command has Anna trying to twist her torso very quickly indeed, a full spin, as she tries tugging Tanaki's arm from just below his elbow. It did have more force to it. However, her technique was terrible.
