"Ah, she is an odd character... don't take me wrong." Alex sighed. "I think the difference in cultures can be what makes you somewhat unsure. Be open and respectful... But my advice probably is not the best. We will never understand a person a 100%. Sometimes I don't know if some people are joking, being sarcastic or just being literal." The Penguin took a wrench from a toolbox. "That is why I keep to the wall. I always think that I am going to say the wrong thing. So you are worried about nothing Mr Winter."

[Richard Winter]

He laughed. "You're right, I overthink things far too often," he took another drag from his cigarette. "Just doesn't make me any less nervous,.... do you need a hand?" he asked.

[Alex Kovac]

"Well... I could use a hand." Alex walked over to the leg. "I also sometimes overthink things and make my mind wander and wonder the many what ifs." The penguin started to adjust one of the legs motors. "My nature to find odds and calculate things make me be oddly lonesome."

[Richard Winter]

"If you like that kind of thing, you should really sit down with Yori." he said, rolling up his sleeves. "She may seem a little aloof at first, but she's really smart and listens." He also grabbed a wrench

"I think it would be somewhat awkward. We probably would respect each other and be silent." Alex stretched the hand. " Pass me a number 12."

[Richard Winter]

"Well, it doesn't hurt to at least try it out, she likes lists and strategy, you can start a conversation with that and once she's into a topic you can talk to her a lot." he said an then looked confused, "Um what is a number 12" he asked.

[Alex Kovac]

"A wrench with the number 12." Alex explained. "Well, when I get the time I will try to meet her. Well officially... I have seen her in the meetings... and talking to Cat in the hangars."

[Richard Winter]

"Ahhhh,.. of yourse" Richard took a wrench with a 12 written on it and gave it Alex."It's been a while since I've done that, my parents were MechTechs, but I never really took after them myself."

[Alex Kovac]

"Father was a warrior and I used to play around the mechs. Some techs showed me so how to fix them...father noted my knack for this..." Alex explained. "Life happens deaths happen... and well... you end up being a warrior."

[Richard Winter]

Richard nodded, "Yup, I know that feel." He watched Alex closely to see what he was doing. "My parents got me the job as a test pilot, that was my start in the career."

[Alex Kovac]

"That sounds nice." Alex continued to work on the mech. "I have grown around these machines so long that it was just a matter of time for me to become a pilot as well."

[Richard Winter]

"No matter what you do, a salmon will eventually swim up the current," he said, trying to tighten some screw on it.

[Alex Kovac]

"True... I guess that is why the Angels contracted me... for my versatility. I'm not one to go up the ranks quickly... I prefer stay here and do this." Alex nodded as the pilot took out a broken piece.

[Richard Winter]

"To each his own, I'd like to be able to afford a mech someday, and to do that I'll need a few more C-Bills than I have now" he said, laughing "And for that I'm afraid I'll have to climb up."

[Alex Kovac]

"I am a simple person... I guess I am may be a bit stubborn at times but it is just human nature I guess... Some wish to thrive others are just confortable the way things are."

[Richard Winter]

"And that's totally okay, Mei taught me that it doesn't matter where you come from or what you do, as long as you have fun." He said while trying to unscrew a part that was obviously still good.

[Alex Kovac]

"Mei is a good friend." Alex nodded. "Um... you should leave that there... can you hold this?" The techie wannabe gave Richard a burnt piece of metal.

[Richard Winter]

"The best," he nodded at Alex statemant about Mei, but looked confused at the piece he was working at, but shrugged and took the burnt piece from Alex. "you sure this is isn't broken?,...." he said regarding the obviously good piece of equipment.
