The doctor had returned. She had managed to find quite a bit during her salvage expedition. Most importantly, she had brought back more antibiotics. Now, she was with patients again. These had less severe wounds, but still needed treatment. She tended to each on in turn while Autumn reported everything that had happened while she was away.

Wandering about a field hospital uninjured was a good way to draw the ire of busy medical personnel.

Fortunately, that didn't apply to Mary. Having some free time, and two good feet, she had volunteered to bring some more supplies over to the hospital. These included some bottled water and protein bars for those medical personnel who were taking care of others far more than themselves.

Elle stopped long enough to notice Mary. She smiled as she accepted a bottle of water, handing a protein bar to Autumn.

"That's very thoughtful. Thank You."

Mary shook her head.

"it's no big deal. you take care of all of us, someone has to take care of you." she demured.

She looked about the area while unloading some of the supplies.

"looks like you have things handled pretty well here."

At least, seems seemed to be a lot more orderly...of course that might be because Mary wasn't writhing in pain having gotten badly burned right this moment.

"The worst of it was this morning." she nodded. "There were heavily wounded that we needed to work quickly to stabilize. I moved from one patient to the next, with barely enough time to change gloves. It's been a while since I've had to do anything like that."

"that's concerning. i would expect that we'll continue to accrue wounded as the campaign continues. we can possibly salvage more medical supplies, but we can't salvage more medical staff." she said, wondering about how that was going to play out.

"Part of it was adjusting to the needs." she explained. "We weren't sure what to expect. We'll be better prepared in the future."
