Alex sighed. "Yeah..." The Penguin returned the hug and kept it letting the tears that had formed fall on Butcher.

[John Slaktare]

He pats Alex's back gently with the hug. "You're alright. We're all looking out for each other. I'm confident we're all coming back safe."

[Alex Kovac]

"That... is good" The penguin sniffled. The warm embrace made Alex feel better. "Yeah, it is in days like these I miss my dad." The warrior sighed.

[John Slaktare]

"Sorry you lost him," Butcher says, maintaining the hug for as long as Alex wants. "That something you want to talk about?"

[Alex Kovac]

"I dreamt of him last night... I feel.he is disappointed of me... you know." Alex let go of one hand. "I have his mech... I feel.his spirit around me..."

[John Slaktare]

"He left the mech to you. You're still fightin and winnin, leadin your lance. Sounds like the type of thing a parent would be proud of to me."

[Alex Kovac]

Alex nodded. "It felt real...you know...makes me sad and hurt in here." Alex point to the heart. "I am not that good... I don't know why I am still here... alive and well." The young warrior clear the tear on the face.

[John Slaktare]

"Cause you got other people watching your back. And they're still here cause you do the same. Even if it hurts," John replies.

[Alex Kovac]

"I do... but also taking care of people is hard. I want to help them all. I hurt when I can't." The Penguin sniffled.

[John Slaktare]

"Not everyone can be saved. I spent years trying to save one person and it didn't work. Should've spent that time with her instead. We don't know what's gonna happen or who's gonna die. Just enjoy the time you're alive with the people you care about. And live for the folks that aren't around anymore."

[Alex Kovac]

The Penguin nodded. "You are right..." as the warrior took a deep breath and let it out. "I shouldn't worry about the future and live the now."

[John Slaktare]

"A little bit of both is prolly fine. People do better if they got something to look forward to dont they?" Butcher says.

[Alex Kovac]

"Yeah..." Alex placed a kiss on Butcherxs cheek. "Thank you..." The Penguin was feeling much better. "I feel much better now."

[John Slaktare]

"No problem. We all gotta look out for each other. And we don't pick when the bad shit hits us," Butcher replies with a nod, rubbing Alex's back.

Alex nodded. "Yeah..." The pilot kept quiet for a while. Alex thought of how the good and the bad had moulded the warrior to always be there to help but sometimes the helper needs help. This friend has brought some light to the warrior. "Yeah..." The penguin said once again.

"Some target shooting then?" Butcher asks. "Get some adrenaline going so you feel better and a bit excited?"
