How to Melt Faces (D5 LE Expecting Breakroom)

Butcher rarely took time in the break room. He tended not to enjoy being unproductive. But he was a bit tired from constant activity for days, so why not. He didn't really know what to do though, so he was just sitting in a chair trying to figure out what fun was.

[Alison Rodríguez]

Pushing the door open to the breakout room, Alison sighed loudly.

"Whew, what a day. At least it's finally warming up so I can..." she paused, seeing someone else was in.

"Sorry, thought it was empty in here. Was really quiet."

[John Slaktare]

"You're good Alison. Got some plans for a warm day then?" he replied, asking as he turns and greets her with a small wave.

[Alison Rodríguez]

"Well first of all not wearing big coats that are really unflattering" She removed her large bomber jacket, wearing a long-sleeved black t-shirt underneath "tank tops and skirts if it gets warm enough. Or at least skirts. And my lovely boots that are a health hazard with the ice!"

Alison sighed, taking off her fancy purple shades to clean.

"Ah well, I suppose fashion isn't the most important thing going on at the moment right? How you been?"

[John Slaktare]

He looks down at his own black tactical cargo pants and black shirt.

"Fashion? I ain't got a clue. Been doing ok. No major issues or anything. Just... takin some time before the fighting tomorrow. How about yourself?"

[Alison Rodríguez]

"Expecting a tough fight? Or a tougher one at least?" Alison dropped herself down on the sofa "me? I'm doing good. Going through comms, hackin' some machines. Was a lot of fun, and got some nice juicy data to pass back to the team. Still, tomorrows your fun right. I ain't a fighter, I'll find a nice safe place to watch. The explosions are pretty exciting."

[John Slaktare]

"It'll definitely be harder than the last, for sure. And I'll be on standby in case I'm needed, but probably just patrolling and holding positions since my lance is down a mech for repairs," he says.

"Which bothers me, since I prefer being out there in the thick of it. What do you do during the fighting? Is it a defensive position type thing or just hang out hoping folks come back."

[Alison Rodríguez]

"I'm part of communications, passing messages and reporting what is where. Maybe I'll get to use the drones in combat sometime but they're more scouting and kinda expensive to just waste in battle" Alison shrugged "not my money but I'm sure they'd find a way to bill me for getting one of them blown up! How come you're on standby? Surely we should have our best out in the field?"

[John Slaktare]

"In the last fight my lancemate Winkey had an arm cut off his mech. He's still waitin on repairs for that. So my lance is short one. I can get called out if it's an emergency, but until we're back to full strength we won't be sent on regular missions."

He sighs and looks at the ceiling.

"And it's annoying havin to sit around and do nothing. Waiting for a call that ain't gonna come."
