[Day1, EE, Kitchen] Just a Little Fluff

[Eilonwy Ainsley]

The doctor was in the kitchen, whipping up something. It wasn't clear what she was cooking. It looked like sugar water.

[Charlie Schroeder]

Charlie came in hoping to whip something up himself to already see it in use. Might as well introduce himself. "Oh. Hey there. I'm Charlie, one of the mechtechs."

[Eilonwy Ainsley]

"Doctor Eilonwy Ainsley." she introduced herself. "Or, just Dr L. How have things gone, setting up?"

[Charlie Schroeder]

"Good so far. How have things been in med bays? Ready for what's coming?"

[Eilonwy Ainsley]

"As ready as I can be." she nodded. "You can never be sure of what may come, but we're prepared."

[Charlie Schroeder]

Charlie nods. Doctors were the mechtechs for the human body. He felt a certain professional respect for them. But without much having had happened yet, there wasn't much to talk about professionally. So, he turned his concerns to the more immediate.

"What are you making?" His tone was casual small talk. Not of someone hoping to get some of it.

[Eilonwy Ainsley]

"I heard something about someone complaining about a lack of marshmallows." she explained. "So, I thought I'd try to make some."

[Charlie Schroeder]

"Marshmellows?" Charlie wasn't expecting that. "Hm. Well, that's nice. I admit I never thought of making them myself. Just one of those things you get on layovers between missions."

[Eilonwy Ainsley]

"It's something that takes time to do." she nodded. "Just buying them is much easier. As it is, I'm not sure I'm doing it right."

[Charlie Schroeder]

"I'm not really a cook, but if there's anything I can do to help, let me know."

[Eilonwy Ainsley]

"I may need some help once I reach the next stage. This is really hot and it will be safer to transfer it with an extra pair of hands." she explained. "My assistant is recalibrating some equipment."

[Charlie Schroeder]

"Sure. No problem. Just let me know when you need help." He started getting his sandwich supplies out in the mean time. He was always bad with small talk. "So, how long have you been with the company?"

[Eilonwy Ainsley]

"Not that long." she answered. "Under a year. Much of that involved preparation, making sure I had all the equipment and supplies I felt would be necessary."

[Charlie Schroeder]

"So, another newbie, huh? I just came on not that long ago myself. Seems like a good company so far."

[Eilonwy Ainsley]

"Yeah. I've been pleased with what I've seen so far." she agreed. "Alright, now I need to mix this with the gelatin."

There was a mixer running on the counter. She handed Charlie a pair of oven mitts and put on a pair herself. The pot wasn't overly heavy, but it was very hot.

"Alright, we just need to pour it in slowly."
