Trudging to work (Pregame 2 EM Offices)

[Tessa Wentworth]

She shook her head. "Not really. I've become friends with our new doctor however. Eilonwy. Have you met her?" Tessa wondered if he might have gone for a check up.

[Tanaki]

"Not yet, I usually avoid medical unless some one drags me down there, is she nice?"

[Tessa Wentworth]

Tessa strolled over so they could chat easier. Or, perhaps to gossip without anyone overhearing. "Very. Bright, expert at what she does, grew up privileged and she has amazing qualifications. She also has a model's good looks. I'm... a little jealous." So, she was very jealous in other words.

[Tanaki]

"So a less attractive version of you?" He smiles, "What is there to be jealous of?"

[Tessa Wentworth]

Tessa gave a dry laugh. Rolling her eyes, she moved to sit at the desk next to his. "Anyway, you clearly need to mingle more Tanaki."

[Tanaki]

"Mingle? Like socialize, are you implying I work too much?"

[Tessa Wentworth]

"Don't change the subject." She waggled a finger at Tanaki. "What have you been keeping busy with all this time?"

[Tanaki]

"I mean I spend time in the gym, and I drink" he thinks, "I spent the last two months teaching myself Swedish for this mission, does that count as a hobby?"

[Tessa Wentworth]

"Yes! Yes, it does! How come you never mentioned this?" She crosses her arms and glowers at Tanaki, albeit thankfully in a playful way. "I could have studied it with you. I love learning languages."

Then caught herself as she realised that might be imposing.

"Sorry, you probably prefer studying alone. Will you show off some of your Swedish at least?"

[Tanaki]

<Swedish> "This is only my fourth, I am no where near the master" <mandarin> "Actually I tend to find it easier to study with people, teaching makes learning easier"

[Tessa Wentworth]

She didn't understand the Swedish, so she'd hoped for a translation or explanation. She did understand the Mandarin however. "I find teaching helps me understand things better." (Mandarin)

[Tanaki]

Realizing by the look on her face she missed the Swedish, he switched to English, "Swedish is now my fourth language, I think I have a good enough grasp to at least speak with the locals. I am not near the master of tongues I hear you are though, but I would be glad to help you if you want to learn it"

[Tessa Wentworth]

"I would. Let's pencil something in. Actually, I've only learned a couple more languages that you. It's... just a hobby, you know?" Tessa states with a bit of embarrassment at Tanaki's praise.

[Tanaki]

"Being amazing is a hobby?" He raises his eyebrow and smiles, "I would like that, let me see if my boss will give me some time off to do so" He winks.

[Tessa Wentworth]

"Denied. We can use some of our time off duty." She gives him a 'nice try' look.

"Think about a time and let me know Tanaki." Giving him a smile and a wave, she drifts back toward her desk.

[Tanaki]

He blinks as she walks away "Wait you get off duty time?" He then turns back to his own paperwork.

[Tessa Wentworth]

"Don't make me come back there." Tessa warns playfully.

She was in a happy mood as she resumed working.
