Joining the fleet (Pregame 2 EE Cafeteria)

Well that's a shame.

"OK then, show me what you got.

GO."

[John Slaktare]

When she says go and starts applying pressure, butcher's hand moves a little. But then freezes in place.

"What did you want to gamble on anyway?" He asks as he continues holding off her attempts to pin his arm.

"I might just say yes if you ask."

He pats the table edge with the other hand.

"Grab it for leverage, you can get some more power that way."

He rests his own other arm on the table to give her a chance to use maximum power.

[Mei-Ling Zhou]

"Oh I don't know, was just asking."

No amount of effort was going to move his arm though she tried her best. He was playing with her, in his own way, and Mei liked to play. But she also liked to win and if she couldn't do it with raw strength she would have to get crafty. She grunted and groaned and made a show of fighting him as she slipped a shoe off and stretched her foot out under the table to give his package a teasing little rub.

[John Slaktare]

His legs clamp on her foot at the touch, and his hand slips a bit, but not enough to hit the table. His eyes meet hers and hold them.

"Almost," he says, her foot held in place. Not tight enough to prevent her from wiggling it out if she wants.

"But if that's what you're after you definitely don't need to gamble or play. Just have to ask."

Slowly, he starts moving her hand in the other direction.

"Otherwise you're just gonna break my heart by getting my hopes up."

[Mei-Ling Zhou]

"I admire your focus, I thought I had you there for a second."

After a little toe wiggle she pulled her foot free and slipped it back into her slide.

"I would never break your heart, not on purpose. I'm just trying to figure out what kind of man you are and...what you're made of. But if you wanna stop the arm wrestling and do it for real I wouldn't mind being pinned."

[John Slaktare]

"No winner then," he says as he stands, still holding her hand.

"I got some grappling practice in earlier, but I'm always happy for another go."

Only after standing fully does he drop her hand.

"Let's get out of here."

[Alex Kovac]

A thoughtful pause, then, "...Have you been in battle before then? I've had some rough jobs in the past,but I'm sure it'd be disrespectful to say they could be as bad as a battlefield."

"I have..." Alex said in a somber voice. "Lost close people... and it plagues me..." The Penguin lowered his head and sighed. "This why I have a bad feeling about this."

[Yoko Lee]

"I have..." Alex said in a somber voice. "Lost close people... and it plagues me..." The Penguin lowered his head and sighed. "This why I have a bad feeling about this."

Yoko looked thoughtful a moment before shrugging lightly, "Hopefully it's just nerves? Either way, I'll keep myself safe, Alex. Just in case. Or at least try my best. I'm sure everyone will be looking out for one another too."

She didn't really believe that per say, but it seemed like the right mentality to have.

"I will keep helping any way I can. The Angels are always watching over each other. And might as well over those who contracted the gang." The Penguin chuckled. "And yeah might as well be nerves..."

[GM Yuusha]

The cafeteria was returning to normal use now. Those showing up for their evening meal were enjoying the view, but the spectacle was fading.

[Yoko Lee]

"I will keep helping any way I can. The Angels are always watching over each other. And might as well over those who contracted the gang." The Penguin chuckled. "And yeah might as well be nerves..."

"Give it time then I suppose."

She gave somewhat of a reassuring smile (she hoped) before turning back to the window. It looked like most people were going back to meals. "I'm going to stay here a bit and watch things I think. Just kind of curiously peaceful in a way, outer space."

[Alex Kovac]

"Yes, yes it is." Alex smiled. "I think I'll get some dinner. I'll be over there if you wish to join me later." Alex nodded and went to get some food before the line was too long.
