After a minute more he'd finished his sandwich with some satisfaction. "I thought you'd want to know more about Csesztreg, but I suppose it doesn't matter to a mercenary where they fight."

He gets up and stretches his arms wide in the air.

"Maybe I'll see you both around."

"Who does?" Kris quips with a smile. He picks up his sandwich to have another bite.

"They'd be gone by the time you got there. It's still a good distance." Kris points out.

"You're both on standby now, aren't you? Does that make you tense?" He asks. "It must be very different compared to space travel."

"What do you study?" He asks, swinging around on the sofa a bit to better bring Alex into the conversation.

"It's better if I don't know too much about your operation today. As for me, well, just recharging really. I'm usually on the go for weeks on end, so having a day off is nice. This ship's pretty big too. You even have your own library. It's fancy."

"Catch you around."

Kris lifts a hand to see her off before going to find his room. He'd been handed a key, so that was something.

"I have a room number. R3-15." He was looking for it.

"Oh, sure. It's Krisztofer Amasi, but most folks who know me just call me Kris." With a smile he tapped a finger to his head before giving her a sort of salute with it. Some might find it charming. "Good hunting out there Lieutenant."

"Just a stopping point. I've shared what I know and now your boss and the AFFC would like me to gather some more specific information. I'll be heading out tomorrow." Kris answers, cool and casual.

"I've just not seen the inside of a dropship before." He explains, following along. He read most of the signs they passed.

"Hey, thanks for showing me the way."

He chuckled and shook his head. "No, but that's a good guess. I'm Krisztofer Amasi. I'm here to share information. I've already met with your, err, CO. The Major."

(Thread full) Alex gets a smile in response to his nod, Kris also raising his arm a bit in greeting. He didn't say anything. Not with both of them enjoying their sandwiches. He does, however, sit up as Ezmeralda enters the break room. "... Hello." His eyebrows lift a bit and he smiles appreciatively...

"If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Always remind yourself of that if someone is offering you goods at half price or they just want a small favour for a big reward." "I've never thought about that. I mean, maybe, but the content of the conversation is more important in my mind. Body language and tone too. Someone might talk to you for ages, but they could just be trying to sweeten you up or scam you. I end up talking to all types."

"... Why does average conversation time matter? You're really an odd one ma'am, no offense."

He makes an impressed noise as she talks about the Angel's Descent.

"And it didn't occur to you to offer? Or, am I that unimportant?" He asks, slowing down until he was walking beside her. "Yuh-huh, you don't say. I'd rather not get lost and freeze. Thank you." A quick visual check confirmed he was about three quarters of a metre away and a step behind her. "This sh...

"H-hey, wait!" He was still trying to memorise the mad rush of instructions and then the advice about some Master Sergeant. It had all raced out of his mind almost as quick as Yori told it.

Kris hurries after her.

"Are you going there? Could you maybe just show me the way? Err, please?"

"Not once."

He got up and stretched.

"Loaded stuff onto them, but I've never stepped foot into the hangar. Just drive in and drive out. Definitely never been to where the bedrooms are."

"Thanks. I'm actually going to head to the biggest dropship and get a room there. I just wanted to warm up and have a drink first before crossing the snow."

"Uh huh... better be the one that strikes first then. Er, good luck out there." He smiles stiffly. "In combat."
